I understand that. Hard to talk football and weightlifting with my daughters (however if they read this they would kick my ass). Beer, football, and weight training seems the center of talk with son in laws. Youngest one is a pretty accomplished weight lifter. Oldest son in law has a baby so that is his focus.

Life is good. Tell your dad I said hi and that I recognize he did a good job raising you. If the dude wants some VA beer, let me know. Would be happy to send. Popular brews are from Veil and Triple Crossing.

 

This is a really nice brew. Been awhile since I've had something from this brewery.

Turning Point Beer - DDH Dinglebob

 

Lucky Bastard! The last time a person had a Last Dinner had a Whole Half of a book Written about him...

 

Excellent gose! Aromas and flavors of big lightly tart limes, lemon, citrus zest, orange, peach, pear, red/green apple, melon, white wine, sea salt, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate agave, wheat, cracker, white bread malt balance; light lacto funk and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Bready/grainy wheat, some lactic acid, and light salinity in the mouthfeel. Light-moderate increasing acidic dryness, no puckering. Very flavorful/refreshing, 4.9%; never watery at all. Not overly lactic or salty. Love this as expected, spot on style. Just as great as the prickly pear was. Really great lime vibrancy and balanced Lacto complexity; nice malt/agave backbone against acidity. Already almost through 2 packs.


New Prairie APA. They actually date the cans now. This was awesome. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, orange juice, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, watermelon, guava, berry, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, white bread dough, light honeyed malt balance; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Mild pine, zesty, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; creamy/bready malts and light sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness. No cloying/astringency. Very smooth, soft, and pretty refreshing; 5.5%. They nailed another NE style beer as usual. Feels like El Dorado/Citra. Extremely juicy and lightly dank/earthy hop complexity; perfect wheat/oat/malt backbone. Not overly sweet from lingering dryness. Glad I got the 4 pack. Worth buying more too.

Got a mixed 6 pack from some family in Montana. This is the first from the bunch. The Great Northern Brewing Co. - Good Med Montana Red Ale. It’s boozy, but I’m really enjoying it. I’ve always enjoyed the style, and this makes me want to seek out more. Cheers all!

 

Time to clear on of these large Bottles that have been hanging in my fridge forever ( had to move this fromOklahoma ). According to the label, the BBD was 3 years ago. Terra Incognita, a clloab between Sierra Nevada & Boulevard. Aged in Whiskey Bottles so i hope that helps. Time to catch up on some DVRed stuff
