Three-for-three with great new beers tonight!

Canned 9/21/18 and featuring Cascade and Galaxy hops - wet-hopped - this is an excellent, fresh-tasting amalgam of clean pine and tangy pith... The pithiness is suggestive of grapefruit, with some hints of lime sharpening the edges, and a fresh breath of pine airing the whole affair out... Light-medium body-weight and feel, with ample carbonation, a solid bitterness and a subdued sweetness... Easily the type of beer you stick with all night...

Nose on this is pretty fucking incredible. The taste is a little more subdued but as an imperial stout alone, pretty good. Nice price too.

The entire city of Milwaukee may shut down if the Brewers win tonight and there are free hamburgers at George Webb. That may be the best thing for the Dodgers, over the course of the series.

Excellent Berliner! Poor head retention and no lacing on the glass as usual. Aromas and flavors of big tart limes, lemon, orange, citrus peel/zest, mint, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white wine, hay, straw, herbal, floral, and grass; with some wheat/crackery malts; light pepper, lacto/musty funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tartness; light wheat tang, herbal bitterness, and yeast spiciness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, light body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Balanced grainy malt and lactic acid in the mouthfeel; light sticky spice and tangy wheat. Light-moderate increasing acidic/tangy dryness, zero pucker. Very flavorful/refreshing, 4.1%. Not overly lactic. Not watery at all. Another spot on brew as expected. Awesome balance of vibrant limes, mint, and Brett/Lacto complexity; with a solid pale/wheat malt backing against acidity. Will get again while I can.

My go-to Fall brown ale, always excellent. Aromas and flavors of caramel, brown sugar, brown bread, toasted biscuit, toffee; and lighter chocolate, cocoa, and nutty malts; with some herbal, grassy, peppery, citrusy hops. Touch of dark fruit. Light herbal, grassy, spicy hop and roast bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied with a really great creamy/bready mouthfeel. Light hop stickiness, chalky roast, and increasing dryness. Touch silky. No cloying/astringency. Really great malt complexity and mouthfeel; and not as hoppy or drying as most American Browns. Has a bit of an English brown feel to it as well. Great balance. I had to revisit my review a couple years ago. Much more impressive than I remembered initially; but all style appreciation levels have come into proper alignment. Been buying all cans when possible lately! Will get another pack eventually.

This one was okay, I'm not sure of the shelf price but anything over $4.99 for a bomber is a pass.

22 oz bottle sent from Don. Poured into Crane snifter (but not all of it, come on now)

Big golden color with hints of straw, with a fluffy bubbly fingernail of white head on top.

I get aromas of pilsner malt, slight passion fruit and apricot, orange zest, and slight fruity yeast. The nose is louder than most Berliners but still tough to get.

Flavor is a lot like the nose, it's pilsner malt and hay, with an almost Budweiser-like dirty floral lager quality to it; tart passion fruit, some kiwi, more tartness and general graininess, then slight apricots and seltzer on the finish.

Feel is crisp and wet, biting the tongue with slight acidity and then leaves a chalky starch on the tongue but not on the rest of the mouth. Crisp biting finish.

Overall, Berliners aren't really my thing, and this is fairly average at being a Berliner. The fruit qualities are louder than you'd expect for the style which is good, but at 6.5%.... one could consider it an "imperial" Berliner which doesn't really pay off here - it's simply not worth the calories and fuzzy-headedness when flavor and enjoyment are considered.
