I am drinking Pompeii IPA from Toppling Goliath, ABV 6.20%. This is a very good IPA, not as nice as Sosus (same brewery), which I drank yesterday but very good. I cannot tell why I liked Sosus better, it just felt a bit nicer and looked nicer, but Pompeii is very good too. Maybe I should do a side by side test. Pompeii is sweet (malts), not too sweet, grapefruit, mango, pineapple, and moderate pine resin bitterness towards the end that stays. It is juicy, dank and refreshing.

Getting into a new beer style today. Boulevard produced this as a 'test' beer for their Beer Hall, and thanks to good sales, has put and two other 'test' beers on the local Kansas City shelves. This is also my first beer from that pack.

@JackHorzempa a while back we discussed IPAs, and it came up that I've never had a brut IPA and thus couldn't speak to the style. Diving into the style now. My next beer shall double down on what I'm trying here.

Good afternoon BAs Watching J-E-T-S after arriving home this morning from Wisconsin where I was able to get to Central Waters yesterday for the Black Gold release. After driving 150 miles from Milwaukee, the last 120 thru midwestern farmland, this city boy saw what I thought was the "Brewery of Dreams", built upon some corn field clearance - and hearing whispers "build it and he will come" Met some great people, drank some great beer and had a blast. It was quite an experience and traded some northeast goodies for some fresh Toppling Goliath - King Sue. Cheers

 

Somebody drank all of my goddamn growler, this is really amazing though.

 

Been looking for a lighter brew for football Sundays, hate bud, miller, coors, just tried yuengling..it is surprisingly like Yuengling . justfewer calories and less filling.
Still looking but his works pretty well.I like blue moon. But there's no light... Guinness light?
