I've finished my NBS reviews and now on to something local. Cape May Brewing's City to Shore. I think it's the best DIPA they've done.

Whew, what a busy weekend here in Stowe, VT. Leef peepers galore were clogging up our roads and filling up our coffers. My weekend just began and I'm ready for a few new beers from Bent Hill in Braintree. VT. First up is a little (4% abv.) sour.

Moderate pour yields a 1/2 inch white head over a light straw body with no lacing. Head is down to a thin ring after a few minutes. Nose of candied ginger, pineapple, and blood orange. Taste of lemon, ginger, pineapple, and blood orange. Good feel and overall, a nice, refreshing little sour from Braintree, VT. I could drink this all day in the heat of the summer. Cheers!

Three new marzens in one day. Each sent by a different BA. Some beers are better than others. Some BAs are better than others. @Lingenbrau is not one of those BAs.
Occidental Festbier. In it's proper glassware.

Shimmering, glistening copper body. Foamy off white head towers at two fingers when poured into its perfect vessel, an Occidental Oktoberfest mug.
The aroma is relocated toasted malts, caramel and a touch of medicinal hops.
The taste is the same. Delicate toasted malts, grainy and with hints of green apple. Just enough hops to balance everything out.
The mouth feel is soft and light, as a Festbier should be. Nice dry finish in this medium bodied beer.
