What beer are you drinking now? #2186

Never can go wrong with this. An American Classic every bit as much as Budweiser.

This is just unbelievably danky. Perfect way to top off a pretty rough night of work. Other Half just never ceases to make great IPAs.

 

Oof. 2 posts in a row. Did I mention last night was a rough one? Getting a little on the old side but still one of my favorites. Nap time after this, see you all on the flip.

 

It's a new week and I've just started my shift at the bar. During the weekend we usually get a few new beers on tap and since I haven't worked this weekend there's 3 new beers for me to try out.

First off we have Lynstift from Ølsnedkeren, a 4.6% ABV session IPA. It's quite bitter but has a lot of floral notes to keep it balanced. An easy beer to get my shift, and the new week, started. Happy Monday BA!

Well, I bought a six pack so might as well drink them . . .




Light lemon yellow color with white cap that disappears almost before you can take a sip.

Very mild aroma of ripe bananas with a bit of spice.

Taste is slightly tart, slightly sour, ripe yellow fruit with a touch of clove and something herbal. I don't know if there is grain other than malt because this tastes and finishes dry without any of the usual AAL grain sweetness or fullness. It's as mild and as dry as a Belgian table beer.

 

Second beer of the day is Mikkellers K:rlek Höst/vinter 2018.

A 5.1% ABV pale ale. It's malty and a tad bitter and although I prefer my pale ales lighter it's not bad at all.

 

Coronado - Early Bird "Cold Brew Milk Stout" (can).. cheers!

 

Going a bit off script here as I've already tried this beer before I was supposed to sample the new ones. But it's getting dark and a bit cold over here so I'm saving the last IPA for later.

Coffee Karma Citra from Beer Here, 6% ABV brown ale. It's not as coffee heavy as you would expect. It's more of a dark chocolate flavour with a fruity sweet finish. Really delicious and light.

 

Time for lunch after a uneventful morning with pizza born on Saturday and beer last Monday. Both tasting really good.
