Dream Layers is super underrated, I had one from the last batch and it was one of my favorite other half beers

IMO Daydream Layers has been better than any of the Dream Layers released. Also, wasn't DDHDMDD released less than a month ago?

totally agree... a lot of their oat-cream single IPAs suffer from a lack of malt balance but the last dream layers batch was amazing

Looks like Dollar Slice might be a new series? They've got a beer called Curly Fries on the taplist for the upcoming Mobile release. Also on that list is PB/Chocolate SD&H which sounds great, definitely would like some more reasonable ABV pastry stouts like what Treehouse is doing.

Like so I said Trillium has their street series, Monkish has hip hop lyrics, and tree house has their I dunno poetry/lifestyle thing they do. Other Half, as they continue to grow and dive into new markets need a catchy series to distinguish themselves with, beyond just throwing lactose into beer and calling it daydream.

Working in brand/market strategy I find it very interesting

I honestly like the Dream/Daydream thing, think it’s pretty cool.

Oh I do too, but it's just self-limiting because not everyone can consume lactose or enjoy that type of beer

I actually like Other Half's monikers. They find a way include the name of the hop(s) in the beer name (all citra everything, space diamonds, etc).

I like the names too. I just wish they’d had a better plan from the start (hindsight 20/20 tho) so there would be some consistency. But then again I’m an OCD beer geek so what do I know

I know it's probably been asked a million times. What's the difference between dream and daydream beers, if any?

    Usually:
    Dream: No Lactose
    Daydream: Lactose

    But sometimes:
    Dream: IPA w/ Lactose
    Daydream: DIPA w/ Lactose

That's very confusing. This is my only gripe with their naming scheme as that theres no consistency in the dream/daydream series

Wonder how Space Hallucinations is any different from the Space Daydream we just got. Maybe it's got additional dry hopping? Wonder if they split the base batch into these two beers

It's a TDH TIPA vs a DDH DIPA.

Regarding what? The mekelburg thing? Not really...I think it was just simple miscommunication. Maybe there should have been a more clearly communicated pricing alignment but I didn't think it was that egregious, especially when Grimm isnt that far away and we all know the beer isn't going to run out over the weekend.

The Other Day is just as some of you described. First off, awesome. I did have the last batch and thought that was fantastic as well but this is ‘nother level shit here. That melon/honeydew taste is definitely there too.
