Not too bad of a night at work last night but it’s getting harder to get in my little nap comfortably with these colder temperatures. My last one of these for the time being. This is so freaking good. Pineapple, passion fruit, orange juice. Delicious. What’s in your glass, BA? Cheers.

    Good morning BA
I'm trying to finish my last mixed six before getting another in an IP trade with a coworker this weekend. Who vacations in North & South Dakota in October?

I am drinking Pseudo Sue a Pale Ale from Toppling Goliath. It has a really wonderful flavor, grapefruit, mango, a little citrusy tartness and a nice moderate pine flavor that lingers. Pseudo Sue is named after the famous T-Rex Sue (the world's largest T-Rex skeleton), which was named after its discoverer Susan Hendrickson. Sue is at the Field museum in Chicago.

Clear amber gold color with white cap and scant lacing.

Aroma of sweet, rich malt and lightly floral, spicy hops.

Richer than the usual Amber I come across with a decidedly malty presence and enough hop presence to balance and keep things refreshing. The malt is rich, deep, seemly sweet without actually being sweet and hops are there with a light touch.

Medium full texture with balancing carbonation.

A moreso Amber that doesn't venture into roasted malt territory. Rich enough to enjoy but not so much that you don't want another. Food and company friendly.

What do you think about Rochefort 10? I think it's even better. And St. Bernardus Christmas Ale is also amazing.

It’s entirely possible that Rochefort 10 is better (and has a higher rating here) but I happen to like St B. 12 better for some reason. It’s more flavorful, rich although Rochefort 10 may be thicker and more subtle taste wise.

Both are incredible. R. 10 is more booze forward, while St. B. 12 is loaded with dried dark fruits (raisins, figs, dates, prunes, etc.). St. B. 12 is also much more wallet friendly.

    Cheers!

That’s it. I like the dark fruits better. And this one is depending on the shop 1 or 2€ cheaper... if given the occasion I’ll purchase R. 10 again.
