Hamsterville bottleshare 11/17

    Our sorta annual bottleshare is on, November 17, 11am-3pm (there's some wiggle room on the end time), and it's at a different location than in years past. Bring beer to share (usual caveats: non shelf beer, unless your shelf beer isn't common to the City of Subdued excitement, bring about as much beer as you want to drink, snacks are welcome.) The new venue isn't dog or child friendly as the old one was, but, downtown Bham has stuff to keep kiddos occupied for a couple hours (the museum, Mindport, trail walks, Mallard ice cream). The venue is also near the Farmers Market is nearby if that interests anyone. message me for moar details. @EdAbbey , deliver thyself to Hamsterham, I know you know how to get here.

    Once again, I’m flattered by the attention. I hardly deserve it. You might protest, but I consider it a virtual hug if not an actual one. Perhaps they are the only kind you give, but I’m not terribly picky about such things, and I’ll take it. Besides, it’ll save me on costly delousing treatments! :slight_smile:

    As I’ve already informed you, however, that weekend won’t work for me. In fact, I’ll be 3,000+ miles away—just far enough, I’m hoping, to avoid becoming collateral damage from the corporeal destruction you and the misfit hobos will wreak upon yourselves.

    I know you know no other way, but I’ll say it anyway: Have a great time. But be good to yourself, too, if only so that you shall live to see the next one—when maybe just maybe we shall finally meet...

    Dude, I do not die easily. This has proven repeatedly. I might out live you (despite a 10-15 year head start) just out of spite. Warm Coors light snatched from a hand of hobo, after all, does imbue one with a certain immortality.

    That, and my complete avoidance of vegetables. Vegetables are what food eats.

    BTW, if anybody from out of the area, who isn't coming, would like to set up a trade, message me. I like to bring stuff nobody else brings. A lot of folks bring big beers from their cellars, and I like to bring some change-of-pace stuff. last year i brought a bunch of Lawsons Sip of Sunshine.

    I’ll be in Japan then. I know you tickers were jonesin’ for some Happoshu and heads up: that Coedo yam beer listed on BA definitely isn’t a Happoshu.!

    Our core group gets together fairly regularly, so it won't be a year. We're having a Barleywine wine share in late February.
