What do you think about trying some sort of vouching system for the next round?

Ie, someone who hasn’t participated before has to get someone who has to vouch for them. Vouching not only means you’ll send beer if they flake, but perhaps more importantly, that you will privately nudge them via BM or other private communications if you notice they’re not participating in the Hints and Hauls or NBS.

We could also each commit to inviting a couple BAs we would be willing to vouch for, so that we get some interesting new blood right from the start.

Just a thought. I think it’s shitty when folks join this BIF and then don’t participate fully, but I don’t lose any sleep over it either. The fuckers reading this certainly post enough to make up for others.

Yeah I like more than 3 posts. After all this is not a trading thread. Anyone can trade all they want. Since its specifically a BIF thread and takes alot of feedback from determining the title to specific ship dates, basic rules etc anyone participating should be aware. I mean I really cant understand why its so hard to just throw down a few posts whether bad or good. It literally takes a few minutes. Now NBS, that takes a bit more thought and preparation. Shit I dont know. I dig everything Ive received and greatly appreciate the generosity. Maybe its because I dont trade I just BIF everything- just find it more interesting.

Hazel's Nuts from OddSide Ales
Imply Stout w/ hazelnut flavor...

Pours a deep, dark brown. Mocha colored head pushes up just shy of 2 inches, drops back to about an inch, hangs out for a spell, leaves some nice patchy lacing, and after a few minutes leaves a thin ring. Quite pretty.
Nose is cocoa, gentle roast, and a really tempting hazelnut note that's slightly toasty, and a tad sweet.
Ah the taste follows beautifully. Full, round chocolate notes give way to a graceful melange of smooth coffee and lightly toasted hazelnut. Finally getting a nuanced bourbon sweetness, and a hint of subdued heat, more of a warmth. It really allows for all of these flavors to shine in a graceful melody. None are overshadowed, all are welcome.
Mouthfeel is medium plus, subtle carbonation.
Overall, this is one fine Impy Stout that features hazelnuts. I'd make this part of my regular rotation if I lived closer to MI.
