Simcoe + Vic’s Secret is tasting insane right now. Straight pinepple. The shit that OH pulls out of Simcoe is crazy. Smoke em if you got em.

Wait did someone say peanut butter stout? Has Other Half done that before?

Snowbirds VIP had Peanut Butter, but I didn’t get much from it. PB can be very tough in beers. The only beer that I have really gotten a ton from is the PB variant of Trillium PM Dawn. Tasted like liquid Reese’s. Fingers crossed OH is able to pull off some magic with Short Dark and PB.

There's a ferry from one of the piers down by Wall Street to the IKEA in Red Hook that's free on weekends. Given the transportation desert that Sixpoint is in, it's definitely the most enjoyable way to get there from Manhattan.

Dual hop seems to ring true for me, but this one has really hit on all cylinders. I had five cans and have opened one each weekend since it's been released and each time it's phenomenal. I know it's a trope but this is strongly reminiscent of "old school OH" to me. I also love simcoe and am pretty fond of vic secret as well so biased opinion. Looking forward to opening my last this weekend.

Nice! I've spent most of my time in the past in Manhattan and Long Island, would it be safe to walk to Other Half from Sixpoint? It looks like it's only about 15 minutes.

I've done the walk just about every time, and it's fine. It's not an area you'd want to be at certain hours, but in broad daylight there's nothing to worry about.

Hudson Valley list at Proletariat on Saturday > OH release this weekend. And this OH release is the best in some time...

Good weekend for NY beer between this release and Grimm. Entertained the thought of doing a NE tour with Bissell as a final destination for the Swish release, but I'm more than satisfied with our local offerings.

    Hello all,

I'm coming from CT, will be traveling to Brooklyn on Saturday afternoon. I've never been to Other Half before. Hoping to get some feedback on what the wait time for cans might be around 4pm? Do they sell out of certain cans by that time? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated. My wife is taking me to dinner at Peter Luger for my birthday, so I thought it would be worth trying to stop by Other Half. Thanks!

Between last week's trio of Daydreams and this weeks ACE, Hallucinations and introduction of Dollar Slice, great month for OH.

I have a trader picking up some ACE for me. Waiting on preliminary reviews of Dollar Slice before I ask him to grab that as well. Hopefully they throw that on draft tonight so I can check out the Untappd review

Surprise SD&W is still sitting. Might be more interested in that with this upcoming cold weather

no wait on cans at 4pm - they might be sold out of 1 or 2 options but not likely. bear in mind it's going to take you 30 min maybe more to luger's with Sat afternoon traffic

No Dollar Slice this weekend, RIP. Stouts sound good but still not paying $18 unless I can try it first.
