Josh Noel just tweeted this. This would be big for me personally. I spend a majority of my free drinking time outdoors and am always drinking out of a cooler. Cans just make things easier. Hoping they start canning ZD too.

This is old news. That label's been around for a while. And I heard back then that ZD, GBH, and Space Station are all headed for this format.

Congratulations 16oz can fans! Your willingness to pay more for less has gotten another brewer to jump at the chance to profit off your preference for putting 2 servings of alcohol in one container!

Edit: Maybe someday they will acquiesce to your gluttony for beer and make a larger personal size container like a 22oz one or maybe one slightly over 25oz!

However, I bet the the price will be 9.99 or 10.99 on the cans, making it seem like a reduction in price, as FFF six packs were always on the expensive side.

I’m holding out hope that one day we will see 12oz 12-packs of Gumballhead.

At that point, I may never buy another packed beer in the summer.

If 4 packs of ZD end up being $9.99, I would almost exclusively switch to buying them. May not be as good as 4-5 years ago, but it’s still a solid classic APA. Hoping to see ZD in cans.

Am I the only person that's kind of upset by this news? I know it's not the way of the future. But I just like my bottles.

It also makes me think FFF isn't doing as good as they want to be. They seem to be a brewery that is pretty set upon its ways and doesn't like sacrificing that for anything. And bottles were always there thing. No cans. So this makes me wonder.

The other question is where are they canning- did they put equipment in house or are they contract brewing there regular beers somewhere?

I used to be with you, but I’ve come around to cans. However, I’d much rather prefer 12oz six packs.

The bottles can be pretty wieldly, especially when traveling. Sitting at home, I’d still prefer a bottle, but even something as simple as carrying 2 six packs with another item can be difficult, as a drop of bottles is so much scarier.

I’m sure the have room in their complex. It’s massive.

The cans say they are brewed and canned at 3 Floyd’s. If they were contract brewed they’d have to say the city it was brewed/canned in.

16oz of Alpha King is 1.8 servings of alcohol.

What are we, puritans? A serving of beer is the amount I need to drink in order to feel like I'm happy with the amount I had (it's very scientific)! Somewhere between 16-20 oz.

Being serious, I'm always torn on this, because while I vastly prefer 16 to 12 oz. beers, I'm not a huge fan of 4-packs.

I don't really think FFF is having any issues. They're doing just fine as far as I can tell.

Genuinely curious. Is this based on sales numbers or is it anecdotal?

Anecdotal. But they're tripling the size of their facility/campus. I can't imagine a company that "Isn't doing as good as they want to be." investing that kind of money into it like that.

Fair point. I know I see stacks of cases, including Zombie Dust in some instances, where in the past that would not be the case. Could it be they are just producing more now but selling the same amount? Sure. Again, nothing but anecdotal info.
