    Good morning, BAs! I was thinking about what beer to go with to aid in recovering from this morning's solid run, and decided: when in doubt, Sunday Morning Stout!

    You just reminded me I still have one of those bad boys to touch off on Thanksgiving Day. Thx, but with all these late baseball nights, I need some Dunkins this morning to get me going. I don’t care what others say, $9.59 a 6 pack this is pretty good.[​IMG]

    Had to crank up our kitchen lighting for this, and yeah... Doritos for breakfast is a total "winning" breakfast snack. But at least I have a great DIPA for more grading. cheers.

    Yesterday’s impromptu bottle share at the bar (a few regulars popped in for a beer and stayed for several :sunglasses:) rendered 2 Belgian Quads, 2 IPAs, 8 Saison/Wild Ales, and 2 Barleywines...no wonder I slept in this morning. Today’s now coffee - KBS (2018):



    It’s still hotter than blue blazes here...perhaps a dip in the pool later will help clear the cobwebs too. Have a great Friday y’all!

    Slept in til 10, but today’s a Friday off with the wife so I plan on running some errands with her. But first I need the cliche morning juice.

    Thanks to @mschrei for this one! Pours like pineapple juice and has a pillowy mouthfeel. Great beer!

    As soon as I saw this beer released, I wanted to try it. It has consistently received positive reviews, too, despite being from a brand that receives more derision than love nowadays.

    Sam Adams New England IPA

    My one hesitation was the lack of a born-on date on the can. However, the best-by date is December of 2018, and I feel like BBC is a company I can trust to provide a genuinely useful best-by date.

    It's very good. In terms of feel and overall presentation, they nail the style; the execution on the palate isn't quite as juicy and smooth as the best, but it's absolutely a solid NE-style IPA.
