I'll jump in on round #9. We're starting to get some better local breweries, and I'm getting eager to share!

 

I know Perennial's not a new brewery, but I just bought my Abraxas ticket for a proxy pickup. Never had any before. Super excited about the variants.

 

I was just looking at buying a ticket to that for the first time! Sadly I'm on the wrong side of the state for it and I leave town that weekend anyway. I may ask around and see if I can find a proxy.

You'll really enjoy that beer. I've had regular and vanilla and both were great. Coffee Abraxas is high up on my list to try.

 

The dirty South hit me and boy did i get hit hard. Mike i can't thank you enough. Dark lord and ba sexual chocolate are huge wants. The rest looks amazing to. So much barrel aged goodness. Plus a barley wine from 2011! Thank you so much @Dragginballs76

 

Don't sleep on that Silent Night either... that's one that I still remember from receiving a bottle in some BIF or something back when I lived in StL!

I saw that and was going to suggest someone who just sent me some Treehouse beer but the person who sent to me is not in this BIF

 

I was going to mention you but did not want to put you on the spot.

 

I started doing exactly this a few months ago. I had a few beers where I couldn't remember who sent to me and I felt terrible about it. Now when I unpack a box I write the sender's name on the bottom of the can/bottle. Regular sharpie for cans and metallic sharpie for bottles.

I'm intrigued by the vanilla, might have to track that down.

Same thing I am doing making cans on the bottom and bottles on the back of the label. I hate when someone sends me a beer and I do not give them feedback.

USPS apparently has some sort of bone to pick with me - they must have taken a mallet to this box.





Whatever they did, they smashed the bejeezus out of that corner, and thus the can that was inside - dead soldier.



About 3/4 of the can appears to have leaked through a tiny slit at that bottom crease in the can. I don't what happened, but that box took a beating.

Miraculously, the remaining cans survived! Thank you for thinking of me @r0rschach - I was intrigued by the dreamsicle beer you'd sent out to others, and I'm really thankful that you sent one along to me. Very much appreciated, sir!



Seeing the box in it's smashed, soggy state was alarming - but after I got over my shock, I'm psyched about this box. All of these Turning Point cans - such a sweet crash course on the brewery! This is exactly why I like variety packs. Thank you again, John - I really appreciate the opportunity to try some of your beers and to check out some more Texas stuff. I hope that I can send you back something similarly interesting and delicious!
