Official FOBAB Countdown Thread

Most of the info is in the Chicago forum in the Fobab ticket thread, but there's about the same info there as there is here.

 

Less info the better...The best way to find out about the beers being served is to show up, and talk to the fellow beer geeks there. It's not only a fantastic tasting opportunity, but it's a great chance to improve your knowledge and just completely geek out with fellow BA's. Beers can sound great on paper, but it's reaffirming to talk to 10 people there that say Gilgamesh is great/trash.

 

Nobody's more critical of beer events that don't announce lineups ahead of time than me, but FOBAB is the one event where I have no worries whatsoever. The list never fails to be absolutely outstanding in the end, so I'm happy to be surprised by the awesomeness when I arrive. If I thought there was any risk at all with FOBAB, I wouldn't be flying in from LA for it for the fourth year in a row.

 

I have PM session...been really looking forward to it since I missed out last year.

 

It's only going to get better as we have more great breweries opening up in the area - this year we'll have Pipeworks, Perennial, Atlas, Greenbush, etc.

For those of you that chose to have your ticket mailed USPS: have you received your ticket yet?

 

are there any people getting in at noon? I think ive only met like 2 or 3 people on here in person (only one posts frequently) so itd be cool to say hello to some of you!

Guys planning outfits in which to meet other guys at beer events is probably my favorite thing about this site.

In other words, I will stand out if anyone wants to come up and say hello.

Excellent. Looking forward to it. Pretty sure we won't be waiting in line again for Cognac DL, but you never know...

 

I got an email from brownpapertickets saying that there was a mistake with my ticket and that i could use it for the day or evening session whichever i choose. Anyone else get this email?
