Just got back from dropping off a ninja box for this BIF and and a thank you box for another. I made the label Sunday boxes on the porch Monday AM and the damn Fedex man never came to pick them up. Second time this has happened the first time I called and raised hell kind of worried to do it now with all the boxes I got coming and going don't need nothing to come up missing.

Opening another one from @FlintB Big Lake Brewing Blood Orange Haze. A TON of blood orange, candied sugar and bitter citrus peel. Thanks Brian!!

Appearance 4 - Pours slightly hazy orange with nice white head that settles to a thin film. lots of streaky lacing.

Aroma 4 - Huge blood orange aroma, sweet orange sort of like candied orange slices. Mild lemon, seltzer, mild hops.

Taste 4 - Tons of sweet orange, lemon, lime, bitter citrus peel, grains, grapefruit, bitter finish.

Feel 3.75 - Feel is actually pretty light up front carbonation is a little higher than expected for a NEIPA. Pretty dry finish.

Overall 3.98 - Solid IPA big orange flavors, really easy drinking.

Ok so after doing my due diligence and working through the hops in the fridge like the wife asked I am finally going to the big boy fridge for a stout. This one sent by @strohme2 from Oddside called Deleterious, a 13% bourbon barrel aged stout. Damn I was impressed by this one. I usually do not see the nice lacing this one has with a higher ABV stout, nose is decadent the taste is perfect in my book. I took each attribute of this beer and really thought what would I change and I could not come up with much. Justin thank you so much for the chance to try this, I am not sure how limited it is but if you ever run across more I would love to trade for some.

Appearance 4.75 - Pours jet black with a thick tan head that settles to a rocky cap and thick ring. Random sheets of lacing around the glass.

Aroma 4.75 - Big chocolate aroma, marshmallow, roasted malts, oak, bourbon, vanilla beans, really sweet and rich decadent. This almost reminds me of a liquid fudge brownie.

Taste 5 - Wow really rich dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla beans, roasted malts, almost tastes like rocky road ice creme. Mild oak, great bourbon flavor that works well and does not overpower the other flavors. The taste is just layered and super complex.

Feel 4.75 - Full bodied smooth, great warming from the alcohol really creamy with a touch of dryness on the finish.

Overall 4.9 - Amazing is all I can say, excellent flavors spot on mouthfeel other than the heat no sign of the 13% at all. Very dangerous and easy drinking.

Appearance 4.25 - Pours dark mahogany with reddish tint, fluffy smallish light tan head with lots of streaky lacing.

Aroma 4.5 - Nice vanilla, caramel, oak, bourbon, sweet malt, plum.

Taste 4.75 - Really smooth dark fruit, plum, raisin, caramel, bourbon, oak, toffee. Very balanced flavors.

Feel 4.25 - Medium bodied, warming from the alcohol, smooth slightly creamy

Overall 4.56 - Very smooth mild barrel aged scotch ale. Great flavors lots of dark fruit. Really easy drinking.

Thanks to @r0rschach for this beauty. This is an amazing beer. The strawberries really just add another layer to it, and is just killer.

    look: 5 | smell: 4 | taste: 4.5 | feel: 4.5 | overall: 4.5

This is an amazing looking beer. Thick pouring, like motor oil. It's hazy, murky, dank. Orange colored, 1 finger white head. Retention is good. There's some nice lacing on the glass.
The nose is slightly hoppy. Slight citrus. Some strawberry.
Taste - The hops and strawberry mix together very well. It's a very complimentary mix. There's a slight sour component to it.
The body is thick. The hops do linger. Slightly creamy feeling. Not boozy feeling at all.
This is a very interesting beer. The addition of strawberries really add a tasty layer to this beer. Just awesome!

Another from my latest BIF #8 box. Oregon. Really tasty chocolate Porter.
Nice medium body and lots of roasted notes and yes, mucho chocolate with a slight anise tang on the finish. Love the chance for a new local brewery. @colts9016 [IMG]

It was brewery only and that brewery is almost 200 miles from me. I bet next year it'll be distributed, that's what's happened with their other barrel aged stouts (Hipster, Rye Hipster, Hazels, etc). I'll remember.

    Enjoying this one from @r0rschach

I must say that I have been thoroughly impressed with the Turning Point beers so far, for a new brewery they pumping out some good ones. This is my first Brut IPA so not sure how it compares to others but definitely a somewhat dry finish. Citrus with lingering white grape. Tasty! Thanks again John!

Having one more for tonight, still drinking the delicious beers from @CanConPhilly I'm going to have to dedicate a shelf in my can collection just for Tired Hands after this round, I ain't complaining though. For my tastes I don't think @beertunes could have paired me up with a better sender, thank you Terry for coordinating this chaos for us! HIP HIP HOORAY...

What can I say other than it's another excellent Tired Hands brew, for a brewery that puts out so many different ones I'm glad I can tell a difference in them. I love a good Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe hopped beer so definitely digging this one
Quick review then off to bed for my nightly 3 1/2 hours of sleep before getting my boys up and off to school. Hoping to get to CC to pick up Friday's release and put a couple of ninjas in the wind before work.

Awesome box from @jhavs landed today.

Looking forward to trying all of these, glad to see River Roost cans, cool little spot that was unfortunately closed the day I passed through White River Junction and the BBQ joint with an awesome tap list/bottle shop that shares their parking lot had just kicked their keg. Also my first Super Soak, first Trillium sour actually.
Coolest of all is this awesome hat from Foundation Brewing that actually fits my big head.
Thank you Jon for another box of NE goodies!
