    Dragon’s Milk Bourbon Barrel Stout with Cherry Chocolate:



    Tasty chocolate covered cherries nose/taste. Some oak and vanilla from barrel. Didn’t find bourbon or alcohol, yet it is warming/flush face at 11%. Silky. Easy drinking. Very little sweetness. Chocolate cherries linger. I will get more if it’s around. Have a a great day y’all!

    Lucky Town's Lucktoberfest which is their nod to the season . . .

    Attractive deep amber gold color with good white cap and lacing.

    Aroma of sweet malt with caramel, toffee and similar good smelling stuff. There is also a spicy, floral element to the hops.

    Taste is malt forward as expected but what was unexpected is the dryness of such a sweet smelling brew. Malt flavor deepens mid palate yet becomes darker and definitely swings toward the dry end of the flavor spectrum. I get hops more as a seasoning rather than distinct flavor in the dish. Finishes clean with some lingering hop bitterness in the aftertaste.

    A 2017 Whiskey Barrel Aged Lugene before heading out to power wash the back porch of all the landscaping dust. It's nice to have a usable yard again.:slight_smile:

    Tankhouse Ale is a simple, yet extremely flavourful APA. Caramel malt and a good dose of cascade hops makes for an easy drink. By the way... Go Sox! Two More wins to go :sunglasses: Cheers!

    Good morning sunshine...

    "Bright Light", a DIPA from Common Roots...Bright gold body, wonderfully thick and fluffy head; well-balanced malt aroma with just the right touch of hop presence; nicely done flavor mix of light grains, fruity hops, and low-key bitterness; medium-heavy in body; smooth and balanced mouthfeel...



    ...and revisiting a somewhat obscure live album that has been a favorite of mine over the last 4 1/2 decades, reissued on 180 gr vinyl...

    Proceeding on with the theme (or is it a motif?) of big IPAs and Santana collaborations for the third time today...



    Dankey Kang really impresses me. A triple IPA but with some unusual (for style) balance with a toasted, grainy malt base and perceptively low alcohol presence. But make no mistake. At 11.7% ABV, this is certainly a beer booze monster, yet it drinks so incredibly well...

    ...and my original copy of this LP...sounds great after 40 some years...debating whether to spring for a 180 gram remastered version...

    What did you think of it? I just happened to be in CO when they released it. Not the best BA i've ever had, but I thought it was pretty good!
