Don't worry, I'll write a haiku about it for one of my many failed Prop entries for next year.

Wasn’t thrilled with fresh ‘16 but it’s tasting great right now.

Yeah. I know a guy who did this in 2015, though.

Which is kind of funny in hindsight....

Sounds like LP is getting almost 100% of Binny's Reserve allocation.

LP Binnys is the flagship release of BCS. It will get the single most BCS of any store in the country.

Regarding Prop day, my guest can no longer go and he wants to give his ticket to his brother. Do they check IDs or is just having the ticket fine?

I don't think it should be an issue. Don't think they checked my ID as a guest last year, but can't remember 100% . Why not call and ask to change the guest name though? Easier, and I doubt they'll care as it's the guest, not the winner.

None of us WANTS to wait in line, that's just the situation we're in.

It's Binny's and Goose Island that want us to line up. They love the news helicopters and the press. They incentivize the first people in line (with rare vintage bottles, glassware, posters and coffee).

They could do the release any number of ways that wouldn't require people to line up. They could charge an appropriate price. They could do it a ticketed release. They could do a lottery. They could base allocation on their own rewards system. But they insist on selling out immediately (by obviously underpricing the beer) and making videos of people in line.

As for policing the tent thing, good luck. Where are we going to draw the line? No Canopies? No chairs? No tarps? No blankets?

My guess is they clear the lot on Thursday night. Then they set up cones or barriers to create a snake line, with minimal room to fit things like tents. Blankets and chairs seem like they would be fine.

First thousand wristbands will be gone before 9pm on Thursday night at which point they will still be open so will just let the crowd through to purchase....

“Snake line” is code for “someone is going to release thousands of snakes into the parking lot to clear it out.” Luckily, I have secured a certain Sammy L as my proxy this year, so my allotment is safe.

Hopefully they are using hardy, winter snakes...

LOL. You realize that nobody has to get in line right. Binnys literally says they will sell the beer at open on Black Friday. We are the reason their is a line. Plain and simple.
