TGI a weekend off. Feeling totally drained and in dire need of a vacation. And beer. This is Citra Bomb from Hop Shed on Gotland.

Thanks, @JamFuel, for starting the thread. It's 1253 hours and 47 degrees in Bamberg under cloudy skies. Today's New Breakfast Beer is:

A decent rauchbier and a doppelbock. Not quite as good as Schlenkerla's Urbock (which I had from the bright tank), but still worth trying.

Amazing as usual this year. Flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, green pepper, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, biscuit, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky/resinous hops in the mouthfeel. Crisp/drying finish and never astringent on bitterness. Amazing juicy, vibrant, and dank hop profile; refreshingly drinkable for an IPA even at 7.7%. Mosaic and Equinox hops are my favorite of all time. They have been changing around the hops every year; but as long as those two stay, I don't care much. Bought 2 packs immediately this year. Might get more.

Awesome again this year. Flavors of huge milk chocolate, cocoa, caramel, brown sugar, maple syrup, vanilla, toffee, cream, fudge, marshmallow, coconut, bourbon, and toasted oak; with light notes of molasses, smoke, char, coffee, mint, and herbal hops. Light herbal hop/roast bitterness and bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and medium-full body; creamy, silky, velvety malts; light chalky roast and oak tannins. Lightly increasing lingering bitter/tannic dryness. Dangerously smooth, mildly warming 12%, no barrel booze. Nicely rich malts, vanilla, lactose, and cocoa nib flavors; with nice barrel presence/integration. Not overly sweet/heavy for a dessert beer from lingering dryness.

Amazing prog metal! I think I randomly followed them during the week of mixed Spotify playlists, and just now saw it! This is why I have Spotify. Mixed vocals and other fun.

Today I will mix really obscure Swedish stuff with stuff you all know, like this one. A twist though, this is the Danish version.

Amazing NEIPA. Aromas and flavors of big mandarin orange juice, lemon, lime, grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Mild pine, zesty, herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very creamy/bready/grainy malts and light sticky hops in the mouthfeel. Slight lingering resins/rinds near the end of the glass. Lightly increasing lingering bitter dryness. Very smooth/soft feel, minimal warming 7%. Citra, Wai-iti, and Amarillo profile. Amazingly juicy and lightly dank/earthy hop complexity; perfectly balanced wheat/oat/malt backbone, not overly sweet from lingering dryness. They always do an awesome job on NEIPAs.

Mind blowing amazing this year as usual. Aromas and flavors of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, toffee, molasses, fudge, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, marshmallow cream, biscuit, dark bread, and roasted nuts; with lighter notes of licorice, cherry, raisin, fig, date, coconut, and smoke. Light roasted bitterness and bourbon/oak tannin spice on the finish. Super full bodied and light-medium carbonation; very creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel. Slight chalky roast and oak tannins, minimal dryness. Dangerously smooth. Mildly warming 13.4%. No barrel booze in aromas or flavors. This definitely takes the base beer up in complexity, which is still a world class RIS on it's own. Same huge, rich, and complex malt body; with added perfect barrel integration across the board. Also far less bitter, hardly any charcoal/earthy hop notes going on. Way smoother/silky on body from barrel aging. One of the best beers I've ever had.

Something substantial for a cold misty morning . . .

Slightly hazy amber gold color with very little cap.

My first impression of the scent is spiced peaches baked under a pastry crust. No malt or hops are apparent to me so let's see what's next.

Taste is far different from the scent. Pleasantly sharp bursts of citrus over a base of ripe yellow fruit such as pear or banana. Spice in the scent is covered over by these fruit flavors. Can't tell if the prickly sensation is made up of hops or carbonation but it does nicely offset the fruit flavors. Finish is clean with a slightly overripe fruit sensation in the aftertaste. There is a weightiness in the fruit flavors that I won't call heavy but they do have a good deal more oomph than an average strength ale. It is complex and I didn't detect even a hint of the alcohol.

Amazing gose as always. Aromas and flavors of big tart/sour lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, melon, red/green apple, white wine, coriander, sea salt, hay, straw, and grass; with moderate wheat, cracker, bready malts; light lacto funk, white vinegar, and yeast earthiness. Moderate lactic tartness, and light-moderate coriander spiciness on the finish. Medium-high carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp/clean finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malt and lactic acid in the mouthfeel; some sticky spice and light salinity. Moderate increasing acidic/spicy/carbonated dryness, no pucker. Very flavorful/refreshing, 5.2%. Feels a lot less intensely sour than I recall in previous years. This is one of my favorite Gose for sure, still holds up to what I rated it years ago.

Fantastic session IPA as always. Got a fresh pack of cans recently. Aromas and flavors of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, mango, melon, guava, berries, mint, citrus peel/rind, peppercorn, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, white bread, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation, light-medium body, and moderately crisp finishing. Balanced bready/grainy malts, and sticky/resinous/rindy hops in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing lingering bitter resin dryness, minimal hop astringency. Very flavorful and smooth for 4.8%, not overly aggressive. Great hop profile from 10 different hops. Extremely vibrant, dank, and earthy hop complexity; nice solid malt backbone for the ABV. No residual sweetness at all. One of the best widely available SIPAs for sure. Been buying Stone way more often since they introduced the cans. The price is unbeatable.
