Halle Berry's pet Octopus: NBS BIF 8

Tried this one from @WesMantooth:



Straight gold color with a good amount of beige head that is frothy.
Smell is a lot of bread followed by slight honey and grain
Bread, malt and caramel. Almost tastes like a Belgian style beer.
Light to medium body with a good amount of bitterness, very dry.
Overall: Think this one just had too much of a bread flavor to it for me.

This one was a long time pub only beer. I was excited to try it and picked up 2 because it was advertised as an ESB. It was disappointing though.

 

I have to look in the basement but I may have a rusty nail......

Some good things, including homages that were not in your face, with a restraint, even if too much, of use of the music score, all overshadowed by some really dumb shit.

I don't think my target has a dozen posts in this thread, never posted my second box and posted 1 of the beers I sent in NBS.

 

Thankfully I have had very active recipients in @2beerdogs , @Roguer , @Vidblain , and @larryi86 I consider myself fortunate in that regard.

 

Well, yes, getting a Rusty Nail crushed to pieces was definitely unintended. However, I assume you are referring to someone wanting possible payback for me sending a pair of kitchen appliances and a cup, a few beers aging on my shelf, or a smashed bottle (notice the sarcasm to downplay the need to do something to me). So, after careful thought and consideration, I present several options. Please feel free to select the reason to cancel said consequences that resonates best to you:

A) I won't be on island and wouldn't want any return fire stolen by my neighbor.

B) I'll tell my mommy on you

C) No explanation necessary here


D) My body hurts


E) Please no

 

I was definitely happy with all those late game runs. Let’s see if the Birds can match last night’s score this morning.

 

Our very own @SammyJaxxxx hit me with this one a few years ago. It's amazing how Carton nails every component in this series. Nose, flavor, mouthfeel...All amazing. Pure art in a can.

Well, it was more of a Thank You box than chaos, although I have nothing against chaos in principle .

 

I don't mean to be a persnickety nit picker, but I'd like to see a slightly higher minimum for H&H posts. I'm thinking at least 5. 2 is literally just responding twice in a week. With all of the wit and whimsy of this grand car crash of commentary, it's just so easy to find SOMETHING to respond to. Even 5 seems small, but we are trying to come up with a minimum.

 

I'm more in this direction.
