I agree with the looking forward to this beer every year. It's just a good beer worth celebrating (pun intended) every year. Just like every time that I have a SNPA and I think of how good this simple beer is...

Ugh - not a fan (and as someone in the visual arts industry). I remember this being asked in the monthly surveys too.
Sam Adams didn't get a good reception for their label refresh not too long ago. The bottle I don't mind but the packaging - makes me think of Saranac. Anyway, thank you for posting. Very excited to buy Sierraveza on a regular basis. Please put my vote in for an ESB for the spring pack.

I have the same tradition and happy to hear this year's a good one.

Tumbler, for my tastes, is the greatest brown ale brewed in the US

The 6-pack carrier is an improvement.

In my opinion hype is standing in line for something you might not get or just having to stand in line at all. Hype is Pappy Van Winkle, Hype is certain imperial stouts that may or may not be worth the wait in line. I consider SN Celebration to be a tradition, an easily accessible, delicious one at that.

I agree. I don't keep notes but I've had some years where it was a pure bitter bomb, some years a bit more spice. Obviously it's not close to bad, but never truly great, but it's generally pretty good. And I don't mean that in a left handed compliment kinda way.

TW says November release, so a few days away, and to reiterate what someone posted above, it is $14 in Texas for a 12 pack, that is just a perfect fridge stocker. This beer wasn't actually on my radar a few years ago until I saw the yearly thread. I was like WTF is all this excitement about, I checked my review and saw I rated it pretty good, so went out and grabbed a 6 pack and realized how solid a beer it is, yet different than most out there now. I will go thru a case of this over the holidays now.

Am I missing something, Sierra Nevada says nothing about cinnamon

Someone was asking about this last year, too. Probably the same person.

My bad.... thought you were asking about which Lexington.

Die-hard UK fan. Will be at the game with 6 others on Sat. Had season tix for quite a while.

Heart always says UK, head says UGA but I won't count the Cats out with our defense. It's the best I've ever seen in Lex by a LOT. Letit SEC good.

    Cheers!

Gotta ask, where in VA? Several BAs in the RVA area and the Hampton Roads area (me included)

I don’t really have anything that new to add to the discussion but this is a beer I really forget about until it hits the shelves and then get excited about it.

There is a bit of nostalgia as I’ve been drinking it since the mid 90’s. It does take me back.

I’ll also agree that this is a killer label!! When I was not legal age and drinking this I would look at the label and fantasize of owning a cabin deep in the snow-filled woods and wish I was there drinking this beer.

As a fan of IPA’s (and not much for the darker beers) this was, and still kinda is my winter beer with the stronger malt backbone. Being a Michigander this beer felt a bit like home while snow was on the ground - which brings me to my last point - I always feel a bit anxious and that I’m being premature not waiting for the pillowy white stuff to cover the canvas before cracking these open!!
