Same here. What was an absolute no brainer purchase for me in the past is going to be a no buy. Great beer, but I have no interest in buying it in bomber form.

I paid $96 a case for the original hi west bombers. Still think it was the best of all the hi west releases.

Rather get the 6 packs though.

    Enjoy

Would rather get Willetized sixers, but we'll probably only get tap here, as with past High-west an Willetized releases. Perhaps I'll stock up on the High-west Victory At Sea if/when it turns up again.

A great beer, IMO. Keep an eye out. It hit Chicago this week. Picked up a couple 4 packs on Thursday. Although not every store got it.

They have been really screwing it up with switching formats. They release Dark Swan in bombers this year and they just released the sparkling Dark swan in 12-pk only ! result, I didn't buy either.

Hmm, I got Dark Swan in a 6er here in CA.

Could it be the 2017 vintage? I still see few sixers from last year.

This is the worst decision, since this year's CBS format.

I don't even mind milking the public last year with CBS in bombers because it was actually widely available. The problem is doing it again this year. I hope it backfires on then financially, even though I like the beer a lot.

They made the bizarre move packaging Sucks in 32 oz bottles for about a year because the owner thought it would be cool to put the bottle in a paper bag and drink the beer straight out of the bottle. I guess now he has a thing for Mason jars.

I really don't understand how any plus 10% plus stouts isn't bottled in 12oz format. It's not like it is a bottle of wine where a bunch of folks want to share- unless one is at a bottle share and then 12oz is still fine, or you can bring more bottles

I think the mason jars have been their thing for as long as I can remember. I think it was 2009/2010 when I visited their brewery and mason jars were used for serving. I like them as my regular beverage glasses so I don't mind getting some, though I understand why folks would be irked.

I have not seen any to compare price in my area yet. My price comment was referencing the $10.99 sixers of the past. Has it really gone up that much everywhere ?

If there's no six packs of this I'm sitting this release out. Looks like lagunitas is finally going downhill post buyout.

Nothing like pouring a BA coffee stout into mason jars.

They switched formats to a 22oz with a couple little mason jars for $15. So last year, which was great at $12 for a 6pack, is gone, and you now get 22oz for $15 instead of 72oz for $12.

I really wish they'd have stuck to 6 packs. I'm fairly positive these are not going to sell as well for us. Personally I'll probably buy one (great brew & I like mason jars), but damn is that ever disappointing. It was one of the best value buys out there.
