Whoever said Short Dark and Handsome with PB tastes like a peanut butter cup was spot on. It tastes like Reese's.

i'll agree it doesn't have the same Wow factor that each batch of ACE seems to bring, but i went for cans regardless and I don't think it's anywhere as malty as that batch i mentioned before. This is much better than that and a lot closer to the great SD taste that got me hooked in the first place.

If it tasted as advertised, then yeah there's not much room for discussion. There was some discussion a few pages back how some people got a lot of peanut butter while others felt it was muted and were tasting soy sauce. I was just throwing my opinion into the ring heh.

Tasted nothing at all like a reese’s to me. Much more in the vein of the Trader Joe's own brand peanut butter cup

Yes, the bourbon version (without coconut) was solid. They were only pouring that one, but I bought bottles of each.

Oh boy. The Californian has already succumbed to the marketing and temptation of OH stouts. Curious to see if you will be a repeat buyer. Then again, maybe THESE are the stouts that prove OH can do the big/BA/pastry stout.

To be clear, solid, not amazing. Not at the complexity or mouthfeel of BL (or even Bourbon County), but definitely satisfying.

By “BL” I’m assuming you’re referring to Bud Lite?

OH need to focus on stouts in the 7-10% range. I think they could really do some damage there

These aren’t cool anymore. Gotta be as gooey and syrupy as possible and have as many additives as possible.

Enjoying a Finback Shadowless right now by the way. Plenty of body despite the lower ABV and I let it warm for about 30 minutes before cracking the can and the matcha and toasted sesame are showing elegantly.
