I am super excited about this. I have wanted to try this for years but I never saw it on the shelf until today so I immediately grabbed a six pack. It is a nice change of pace to see stouts in six packs rather than four packs and it is affordable too

Local brewery put out this Norwegian Table Beer, and I was all too curious. Curious enough that I sent two out in trades, and picked up one for myself. Pulled out the dimple mug for this photo.

Haven’t had any Tonewood beers yet. We don’t get them up here, but I’ve heard good things. What’re your thoughts?

Sam Adams New England IPA post-dinner and post-pumpkin carving:

Dinner was easily enough for four meals for a guy my size. The squash was a nice change-up for me, but way too sweet and wore out its welcome before I finished. Still, I've been broadening my culinary horizons, and I'm glad. Second time having kale, too.

Finally, I'm done screwing around with pumpkins for, oh, the next twelve months.

I think they'll look pretty sweet with candles. One with no eyes - just all mouth. One with no mouth, and some tears. One with stitched-up eyes and mouth. That one was the worst.

I thought of a hear no evil, see no evil, speak no evil theme, but decided three random ideas worked better.

    Cheers and good night, BAs!

Incredible NEDIPA. Lasting head retention/thick lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big lightly tart/tangy pineapple, orange juice, guava, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berries, citrus peel/zest, and light pepper/pine hops; with moderate wheat, biscuit dough, light honey malt sweetness; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Very mild pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy bitterness; and fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; very creamy/silky/bready malts; slight sticky hops and fruit tang/acidity in the mouthfeel. Slightly increasing lingering bitter/tangy dryness; no cloying/astringency. Touch of lingering spicy alcohol. Insanely smooth/soft, mildly increasing warmth of 8.6%. Amazing Mosaic/Citra profile as expected. Extremely juicy hops/fruit, with slight dankness; perfect wheat/oat/malt balance. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. Another easy winner, will get again. 4.28

Incredible imperial stout. Lasting thick head retention and soapy lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big milk chocolate, cocoa, banana, coconut, caramel, brown sugar, toffee, vanilla, bourbon, toasted oak, nuts, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of coffee, molasses, licorice, raisin, cherry, smoke, and herbal hops. Mild herbal/roast bitterness and bourbon/oak spiciness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and fairly full body; very creamy, silky, velvety, rich mouthfeel that is amazing. Slight sticky hop, chalky roast, and bourbon/oak tannins. Slightly increasing lingering bitter/tannic dryness. No cloying/acrid. Dangerously smooth sipping. Mildly increasing warmth of 11%, with no barrel booze. Another easy winner as expected. Perfectly balanced rich malts, flavorings, and bourbon barrel integration. Minimal booze/tannins on barrels. Already got 2 packs. 4.28

God damn this is great. The nose is bursting with Galaxy tropical fruit, grassyness and dry, white wine vineous quality. Definitely my favorite dual hop beer and probably my favorite overall OH IPA in a while.

    Cheers!
