    Now that it’s October 31st all across the continental United States I figured what the hell. Let’s start this party off proper. Happy Halloween fellow beer advocates! Let the Devil have his due. Been watching horror movies for the season’s reasons and these are this evening’s offerings. Cheers fellow creatures of the night!

    Later night meal. Cheap pizza and "carlitos" with a Leffe Brune. Almost perfect but the mozzarella wasnt mozzarella

    Good morning BAs! Back from Deutschland and the Reinheitsgebot. I had many great beers (and some not so great) but I can drink only so many lager variants. The helles doppelbocks knocked me on my ass - thank Dog for dunkels and schwarzbiers to help me recuperate.
    Today's New Breakfast Beer is from @Bum4ever and NBS BIF#8:



    A decent oatmeal coffee porter!

    Attractive copper gold color with white cap and lacing.

    Aroma of sharp, citrusy hops with a slight malt influence.

    Taste is hop forward in a piney, citursy way that is also somewhat lemon like and the malt influence is more prominent than the scent indicates. It's a basic malt, light and slightly sweet, but it's in there. Hops are the main attraction though with a simple but flavorful hop presence.

    I was a little disappointed in BBA 3Beans when I picked it up last year, so I made sure to hold on to one can to see if it improved over time.

    You know what? I have to say: YES! Still not a world-class BBA breakfast stout, but very, very good, without question.

    Just saw the HVAC guy out after fixing a leaky exhaust pipe. Not much planned today except for party prepping and beer drinking. Here's a quite old bottle of Short's Brew The Wizard Barleywine Ale With Raisins. Caramel, brown sugar, raisins, mild tobacco and some respectable alcohol heat in the finish. Still pretty good after what I'm guessing is 4-5 years old? Happy Halloween all you beasts!
