Kane Brewing (September/October 2018)

For ANTEAD (and the last couple of pick ups) I went late on Sunday, no line no problems easy in and out.

The amount of people who don't seem to understand that there is a high demand for certain products, that their inability to obtain these products must be due to some "glitch" or "hacking" and not to something like clicking 2seconds too late or slow internet speeds, and that they are not absolutely entitled to every beer they desire will immediately make you feel better about your mindset in life.

Taking pleasure in another's displeasure isn't always healthy, but I make an exception for beer release meltdowns.

 

Managed to grab 2 sets, it was pretty painless for me.

When I picked up ANTEAD on a Saturday afternoon it was pretty busy there with a slow line so I am assuming it would be best to go during non-peak hours.

 

One of life's true pleasures is reading the discontent of brokenhearted entitlement of butt-hurt juicewolves.

I think the cream of the crop are on Troon.
Essentially, people get upset because he didn't personally call them and say that there wasn't going to be a release. Magical.

 

I did, I rolled in like 5pm Sunday for pickup, no line and no one in the brewery lol

 

The Troon comments are platinum level shit. Some of the entitlement of the people in that area is ridiculous, i always enjoy it

 

read the posts for when theyre closed, there is a guy flipping out about how he has been lining up each day that week and that they should just tell him they're not going to have a release.

I'd LOVE for troon to do an eventbrite just to see how triggered people would get when they get shut out

 

Yep this is very true.

I think about it the same way as sports/concert tickets. You look at it and just think to yourself .. man.. I used to pay X amount.. but.. this is how capitalism works I spose! I bitched but I bought!

 

HAHa I just read through some of the Instagram comments @SammyJaxxxx I saw
you dishing out some shit there too - not nice! Haha it is funny reading the whining but I do feel the frustration of those who were trying and kept getting kicked back and then were shut out. Gotta be bad. Me, I keep forgetting until like 12:15 about these releases and then go “oh shit!”

 

I would actually be able to get some troon then. Their beer is great but im not paying 25+ or whatever people want to trade for on the secondary for a crowler... I've had some luck with decent traders ($4$) for troon.

 

You guys should try a) being at Brick Farm Tavern around 6 on days he doesn't release or b) being in line when he cuts limits. If you're looking for some serious schadenfreude that is.

I always trade mine $4$ on the rare occasion I trade it, but yeah, I've had some crazy offers on them in the past.

 

I generally agree that the Kane eventbrite releases aren’t that horrible, and people are HILARIOUSLY overreacting. But I do think eventbrite is garbage. I’ve gotten a few Kane releases and missed a couple, and I’ve gotten locked out of a bunch of other stuff on eventbrite. I think online presales are a good idea, but I think they could find a much better platform / website to do it from.

 

you must not have been around for the brown paper ticket ANTEAD release, that was terrible, eventbrite is so much better

 

this was the first eventbrite i ever tried to do, and i tuned in late around 12:12 just hit refresh a bunch for a few minutes as it just said unavailable until around 12:16 it said sold out. i wasn't upset especially since i accidentally tuned in late anyway. hopefully they will have some extra sets afterwards for sale randomly but who knows. you can't always get every release you want, so why freak out about it? its a game of chance and you know that you will be able to get samples of it anyway at some point while chillin at Kane.

 

What people (myself included) find frustrating is that getting the ticket in your cart is only step one. You can lose it prior to checkout This is different from Ticketmaster where once it is in your cart you have 5 minutes to complete check out. If you have never dealt with it before, it seems like a glitch.

 

Yeah, Eventbrite has a countdown for check out too, but that's if the tix stay in the cart lol

 

Lol this is exactly me too. Missed the last two because of this. I even set a reminder this time but phone was on silent lol. Oh well, its just beer and life moves on.
