    I'm not a big fan of pumpkin/spiced beer, but got talked into this one by a clerk at my local store in Indiana a couple of years ago. A best by date of 02/2018 and still quite spicy. Thankfully the brett is taking some of the edge off.

    Beautiful day for a walk. Back home for a beer then think I'm heading back out. Went to liquor store and didn't walk out with anymore beer so proud of myself. It was hard because they had perfect sounding Halloween beers. Was looking for Amber Smashed Face which they didn't have. All the better let's listen to more death metal on Halloween.

    Finishing up one of the better pumpkin ales Ive had from the BIF #8 Idaho box.
    Nice touch of spices - not too hot- with a touch of squash. Lighter body for these types as well.[​IMG]

    I've had this at 3, 5 and 9 weeks now and it's quite interesting to me how the flavor profile has changed, from memory at least. I probably enjoyed it best at 5 weeks, because even though I do actually quite enjoy a bit of hop burn, it was a little much at 3 weeks old. At 9 weeks old, the dank, piney notes seem to have faded a little already and this has developed a certain cat piss note that I'm not entirely keen on.

    Still, I've had NEIPAs by other breweries that tasted a LOT better even at 13 weeks old, so I'm not quite ready to agree that NEIPAs become undrinkable past 6 weeks old :rolling_eyes:.
