Ok, knowledgeable group, I came here for recommendations. My buddies are getting together for our annual stout share on Black Friday. Last years theme was vanilla, but sadly(due to a mixup) nobody brought VR or FO. I’m happy that those will be brought this time around because I’ve still yet to tick either. Instead of vanilla for this years theme we are doing cinnamon or peppers. Fortunately for us, there seem to be a bunch of these around now, some even with both. I’ve recently been gifted through you some of you generous folks Mexican Cake, Ye who enter here(sleeper Orpheus bottle), Rusty nail, and Mexican Achromatic. Others are bringing Huna, Abraxas, BA Abraxas(yay), prop 16, BA Mexican Cake(not sure which one), and a couple others I can’t remember.

I’m looking for recommendations for ones we might be missing. The easier to trade for, the better. I would rather bring something that we have never had, before bringing crazy whales or really popular selections, but I would love and really appreciate any info from you all on what attainable brews fit the theme. Respond here or feel free to shoot me a PM. Thanks in advance.

Monster's Park BBA Mexican Hot Chocolate has both chilli's and cinnamon. It was released about a year ago and a buddy cracked one the other day and it was drinking nice. It saw some distro, don't think it would be too hard to trade for.

Odd Side Imperial Mayan Mocha (and the BA variant, I believe). There are a couple of different Odd Side beers with peppers, as I recall.

Mexican Sibirius Maximus from Wrecking Bar here in Atlanta, smoked serranos, chipotle, cinnamon, cocoa, and vanilla. I happened to get a bottle for the Philly share. I'll put a post on the local FB group and see if I can come up with another.

I believe we have all had the Dragons Milk and both bombs. Abduction sounds perfect, and I might even be able to jump over to Chi to grab it if it is still in distro. I added the imperial Mayan mocha to my list at the recommendation of @totalbangover . I forgot about Huna, I will be bringing one of those too. Baptista was awesome! And I don’t think any of the others have tried it. I might still have a bottle of that too! These are all great! Thanks for the input!

I will be looking those up, but hill farmstead might be a little over what I’m trying to treat some of these schlubs to, haha!

 

Ha! You are so right about including the OG cinnamon and pepper beers. Someone in another thread just reccomended the El Mariachi, and bottles like that are exactly what I would like to bring to share. Thanks for the reccomendation and bringing me back to my senses about the BOMB!
