Under an intense amount of pressure from @scream to drink this...

I consider the base Dragon's Milk stout to be a passable bourbon barrel stout - good for the price, fairly easy to get (at least around here), but not quite on par with the big boys... Recently I've been enjoying Evil Twin's banana maple stout, so when I saw this BBA Banana Coconut stout, I figured I gotta give it a try...

Aromas of banana, chocolate, molasses and vanilla are prominent, with sweet whiskey notes airing things out; notes of coconut and oak can be inferred from the nose... Sweet but not too sweet, has a nice weight and feel, and expresses exactly what you'd want in a bourbon-barrel-aged banana coconut stout (new style category coming soon? lol)... The banana and coconut flavors are well-executed - there is no doubt about the banana in the fore, the flavors solid without being over-the-top, and the coconut flavors right beneath... The bourbon elements are mild, bringing a little vanilla maple aspect to the beer, and ever-so-slightly prompting a touch of a drying finish... The body is fairly full, rounded, and a little sticky - which I'll take over thin-bodied any day in a stout with kind of style...

Very impressed... 9/4/18 bottling...

Time for a big beer on a beautiful day. I enjoy the regular Victory at Sea much more, but this is great for only $2 a single.

Took my first trip up to SC in a little bit and picked up a 4 of one of the OG DIPAs. Great beer that showcases that Citra very nicely. Not a single hopped beer, but Citra all day. This is it for me, good night all.

The "beer guy" convinced me to try this. At $5.99 per six pack I figured why not. Certainly wasn't expecting much. Guess I was wrong. This is really good, especially given a buck a can.

 

I thought those were giant deformed hands coming out of tiny arms.
