Steeper than I'll pay but still not as bad as the $36 price tag I saw at the liquor store down the street from me for that early 2018 shipment that went out around Feb. I think

It's a silly format unless you really like sharing.

Large format is good for holiday gifts.

Craft Beer Cellar Nashua has it.

Saw it for $30 last year and passed. Will do the same this year. i don't buy $30 bottles of beers but have no problem if someone else does. Good luck everyone that is looking.

Hill Farmstead is the only brewery I'll fork over the $30 price tag for. CBS exceeded my expectations last year but I've still got a bottle or two left and unless I get real lucky and find it for $22 at my secret spot again I'll probably pass it by

I think last release was $20.95, but not sure. They definitely stuck around for a while.

Still have a bottle from last year. Is still good to drink, or too old?

And how you guys drink your BCS? Cold, room temp, somewhere in between?

Your bottle from last year should be just fine, maybe a little cooled off on the booziness. Founders stuff seems to hit its stride with a year of age on it. Ive found for KBS after 2-3 years the green pepper coffee flavor starts showing, my Founders rep even said not to age over 2 years.

You could drink it like 10 minutes out of the fridge and enjoy it as it warms in a glass.

General rule of thumb for me is to drink any sweeter adjunct stouts at room temperature. When I put a chill on it, the increase in sweetness while I let it sit and warm can sometimes be unwelcomed between sips, especially if I'm really taking my time. At room temp, I'll have a relatively consistent tasting experience from start to finish. With CBS, you'll get right into the maple, coffee, barrel+bourbon and know exactly what you're getting yourself into. Just my 2 cents.
