    I really enjoy the blind beers, I’d love to incorporate that. That’d fit into the “secret Santa “ part of the BIF.

    Good luck man!

    2 days ago almost no leaves were on the ground. A day and a half of rain and wind will do that. That a lotta yard work beers there.

    We’d love to have you back!

    Great idea here, everyone is busy with travel and such. I’d hate for some scrooge to steal a package.

    I guess it would be a pain to gift wrap everything for that purpose, but, yeah, at least one we gotta do!

    Palapa Of Your Dreams from Alvarado Street Brewery. This beauty from @Bum4ever 's ninja box.

    Delicious!

    Pours a orange/golden color. Quite murky. The head is 2 finger, white, frothy, and has good retention. Some lacing on the glass.
    The nose has got some citrus in it from the hops. Pineapple seems to me to be the aroma.
    Taste - Fairly mellow up front, then the hops kick in on the backside. I get a nice juicy - pineapple - hop flavor in my throat.
    Feel - full bodied. Hops do linger in my palate. There's a bit of a creamy feeling to this beer. I don't notice the alcohol much.
    Another delicious IPA. Smooth, delicious. Nicely hopped, but not too extreme.

    Thanks so much for sending this to me Josh.

    So, for Secret Santa, this seems where we're at:

    * one shoebox sized box.
    * one mystery beer.
    * notify if you have a "blackout window".
    * ship so that it arrives after the Christmas Rush. Let's give folks the chance to relax, and not add another thing to that time of year.

    That seem about right, so far? It's only early November, so we've got plenty of time. If someone wanted to ship/receive before the proposed deadline (it might fit some folks schedules better), that should be OK, yes?

    The thought is just to give a little something to someone, and not go nuts. Let's keep this relaxed.

    Well, the thought was that we were going to keep it to NBS BIF regulars, but, there has been outside interest. I'll let the Regulars decide on this.

    I've only ever heard of beer in Salamanazar...anyone ever seen a Balth/Neb?

    If I could meet up I would, but I haven't figured out how to make that happen yet. If I were working in any other borough than Staten Island it would be doable. If I can work something out, how long will you be in town?

    I feel pretty strongly about keeping it with existing participants.

    I like that this was proposed WITHIN this group of BIFers as a special exchange. I’d like to keep it that way at least for this time.

    Yes!

    'twas but a scratch! Just a couple of extra cans that were laying around.

    If you convert that into an ounce or container limit, I promise to abide.

    Absolutely! That goes for all with significant others that are beer drinkers... gotta keep them happy!

    @Mikexw is a good dude.

    I'm up for trades with this group anytime, big or small. If anyone is ever interested in Michigan brews, reach out!

    Hard Fucking NO!

    A single USPS medium or large box, or an equivalent for those who ship otherwise.

    Tis the season to not get into a war. Stand down, or stand out.

    I thought he’s trying to say he will follow the limit laws (flat rate box) of this special round

    Not the way I read it, but, I was wrong once before, so, theoretically, it could happen again.

    Also, I knew it would come up, so I had decided to Barney Fife the first person who even hinted at it: "Nip it in the bud Andy, NIP IT!"

    You misunderstand... not trying to be difficult, or start anything. I've never shipped USPS, and I'm nervous to start. Just want to make sure I understand the parameters.

    Yep!

    Fair enough, see my edited response just above .

    Plus, there is little to fear from USPS, it's cheaper, faster, and(at least in my experience) a lower-risk choice. Pack well, and your good to go.

    I regularly fit 12-12oz cans, well padded, into the shoebox size medium box, 2 days, anywhere in 'Merica!

    That’s because some asshole sent you a smashed bottle with the intention of luring you close enough to the box with the (literally) intoxicating smell, thus allowing you to cut yourself with the millions of pieces of broken glass
