Family, prior commitments? No such thing when rare beers are involved

 

My wife and I came from the Bluegrass last year with a friend for the BBT. She's working this year, but I've got other friends.

 

At least if you purchase BBT online, you can just pick it up. I hate chasing BCBS variants.

 

I did a Jewel BCBS release last year then headed to St Louis. Wasn't that bad of a trip. Now I just need this not to sell out in 3 seconds and I'll do it all over again. Depending on WI's BCBS allocation I might be able to stay warm and sleep in. That'd be a miracle.

 

BBT was thanksgiving weekend last year and they said it always will be.

Not sure why it’s a surprise.

Any guess on if or what the silent release will be during the BBT weekend?

 

Did they say there would be a silent release? Or just that there would be “surprises”? I assumed it was just on-site bottles that they were referencing?

 

Anabasis bottles maybe? Considering the statement in the post saying 1 Imperial Stout/Barleywine per person.

 

The statement was referring to onsite bottles. They are limiting 1 bottle pp for on site consumption due to the ABV. Not sure where people are getting a special/surprise bottle. Maybe BA CSV will be released like last year. I would be ecstatic with a bottle of BBT. Anything else is icing on the cake. I really enjoyed the release last year. Probably my favorite release I attended. Really chill, great onsite options and BA CSV was a pleasant surprise. GL everyone.

yep i missed it too.

 

My phone was on vibrate, so my fault, but I was checking every so often, and obviously checked a couple minutes too late.

 

I was on it and still missed out. Sad.

 

Not trying to be an ass but why is that a joke? BBT is rated extremely high and everyone knew it wasn’t going to last 30+ minutes like last year. This is definitely what I anticipated.

 

I’m betting this was a much smaller batch this year too.

Thankfully wife and I both got a bottle. Pumped to come to STL Black Friday!
