The Bros. recently sent out an E-mail on F, 02 Nov 2018 entreating their users to add any missing beer releases. I am not only all for this, but I would also ask that you submit a related pic for approval. I don't know about others, but I am a visual learner & I love to see a beer's packaging!

As to my burning, itching Q: When adding a Collab Beer, does the entry go on each brewery's listing or just the first one listed on the packaging? I would assume that everybody involved gets equal credit, but we all know what happens when I assume (or do anything on here, for that matter). My little wee-wee-pee-pee gets smacked hard enough that I know NOT to do it again!

For instance, let us imagine that Sun King (IN) & Founders (MI) make a Hoppy Lager named "Riding the Rails". Sun King is listed first on the label, so "Sun King / Founders Riding the Rails Hoppy Lager" is obvious. But what about a Founders entry: "Founders / Sun King Riding the Rails Hoppy Lager"? Less obvious (to me, at least), but quite intuitive.

This could have been a simple Help Desk Q, but I like the idea of inclusion in this day & age and so I am putting it out there for everyone's edification.

Uh oh. My wee-wee peep-pee is about to get slapped! 8=(

I've wondered this same thing. My particular example is the Kern River/Knee Deep collab Deep River (renamed to Lupulin River). A recipe created together, brewed at both breweries, and then ultimately brought into recurring distribution by Knee Deep. So should Knee Deep get sole credit, including the GABF silver medal for this beer? I think not, but curious to hear others' thoughts and BA's preference on how it should be handled on the website. TIA

I like pics too, and I try to add them when I can. I think pics for non-packaged beers comes up occasionally as a topic, but I don't recall the Bros ever giving direction about handling these tap-only beers. Rather than an empty box on the beer's page, how about just a pic of the beer in a clear glass. At least that would depict the beer's color, but also signify that it is not distributed in bottles.

For the overall theme of this thread I think if a ber is brewed in only one brewery location , that brewery should be where the beer is listed on BA. The beer's name should properly be listed but with a "(collab with XYZ Brewing)" also shown.

For the collab beers that get brewed at both breweries, I think each of these beers will have its own taste nuances that justify it being listed under each brewery for recognition and ratings/reviews.

A pic of tap handles would work, I reckon.

In most cases, the beer gets listed at the brewery where the beer was brewed with all breweries getting credit via the name. In most cases that is the brewery listed first on the packaging but not always.

Tap handles photos are fine - no pictures of beer in glasses.

State laws may vary, but here in WA, the brewery where the beer was brewed "owns" the beer, and has full legal responsibility for it. They have to pay the taxes, and file all the paperwork. When ABC Brewing has their friends from DEF Brewing over for a collab, the resulting beer would be the property of ABC, and for DEF to sell some at their pub, they would have to buy it from ABC.
