Anyone make any Beer Goals for 2018? If so, now that it's November, have you accomplished your goal? My goal for 2018 was to visit 12 new (new to me - never been there before) breweries. This weekend I visited my 12th new brewery, meeting my goal with a month to spare. How about you?

My beer goal for 2018 was to not get cirrhosis. So far, so good.

My beer goal for 2018 was to try and enjoy as many great beers as possible, hopefully without succumbing to alcoholism. So far, I'm doing pretty good.

My beer goal was to be able to open a beer, and finish it without a client calling or my wife reminding me of something I still need to do. So far this year I've failed miserably

Tried and reviewed 43 styles since joining BA last spring and finally made it to Tree House this past Saturday.

For 2019 my goal is to be more organized so that life doesn't get in the way of beer drinking as much as it did this year,

I failed. I wanted to homebrew again. Life events, some foreseen and some not, got in the way.

My goal is to quit hoarding so many bottles and crack some open. I have too many that Im waiting for an occasion to open, but I need to accept that opening the bottle is the occasion.

My goal has been to find out who is sneaking into my house and drinking up my beer.
I try so hard to keep my shelf stocked, and yet I keep finding the empties piling up in my returnables bin. Who could it be ... ????

I wanted to drink down more of my cellar, but failed. Also don't go out to the local bar after work much anymore. That was a changed based on life circumstances (In-laws moved in after Harvey flood), but it helped alleviate the ticking mentality. I was on a clip for about 300+ beers a year reviewed since I joined, I think that has been reduced by almost 2/3. The FOMO has been greatly reduced.

About a month ago, I decided I wanted at least 60 more reviews by the end of the year. Need about 25 more.

For 2019, I want to do 365 new reviews. I've done the beer-a-day before, and I think I can easily do it again.

Mine was to cut back on the amount of beer I keep on hand. Nope....didn't get there. In fact, it got worse....much worse.

I didn't set any specific goals but at some point I decided to try to enjoy beer more, without doing reviews and what not, and just live in the moment.

Beyond that, and with that in mind as well, I've started skipping certain beer styles that aren't my favorites unless there's not much available where I'm at, and that has actually on several occasions cut down on my consumption.

I recall several times now where I was out with my wife at a restaurant or bar or whatever (wedding, funeral, ball game, etc.) and they didn't really have anything that interested me and I just decided not to have beer. Sometimes I had water, and a few times I switched up to liquor or wine, but in the past I'd have always had a beer regardless of what it was.

Beer drinking and goal setting should be mutually exclusive.

At the last New Year's Resolution thread, I said I wanted to review more places. I haven't quite gotten to my goal of 100 places, but I'm getting closer!

I've also set a goal to try more classic beers, like those on the Beers of Fame list. I'm not anywhere close to finishing that list, but I've made a good push.

My goal for this year was to lose all the weight I gained from drinking beer last year. I hope to get started on that after Thanksgiving. Then, next year, I can lose all the weight I gained this year.

Same as every year, mine was to further cut down the number of bottles in cellar, and I am well under 200 now. Would love to be down to a few cases by the end of next year

I hope to take off 20 lbs during my dry out month, which starts after our stout tasting in Dec. Already have cut down to five beers, or less, a week, trying to ease into it. Good luck to us both!

I keep a very detailed log of my drinking (I mean it's beyond geeky) so I can track pretty nicely what is going on. I managed to tick all the styles (as listed in BA) back in 2017 but after the reorganization of the styles' list earlier this year I had one style left to tick (Brut IPA) which I did within a few days. My goal to try a beer from every US state is still not achieved, as both AR and WV have been elusive. Nonetheless, I have managed to try a lot of personal whales, such as Sip of Sunhine (I flew to VT just for 6 hours just for that purprose), Focal Banger, Hop JuJu, and many more.
