I do buy a yearly, non-resident Wisconsin fishing license, though. So I'm exempt from your criticisms. I'm contributing to your state. And that's not even getting into gas/taxes/bait/beer that I buy up there when I'm on trips.

It really depends on how many allocations they have.

 

Yeah. I did the Desplaines location in 2016 when the allocation was basically the same as binnys. Had enough that people were going back in for seconds.

Not sure if that’s any different now but I’d guess that location probably has the most fwiw.

The production mix changed year over year from a 90/10 bottle draft mix in 2017 to a 70/30 mix in 2018. There will more draft events this year, but this is a good opportunity to try two variants on Black Friday.

 

Just got home from Scofflaw. Really cool cocktail bar. Everyone who came got a free pour of 2018 Reserve. The Prop 14 was epic. Candy in your mouth. I heard one of the bartenders refer to it as "Tastes like back when you were a kid and could smoke in bars mixed with chocolate chip pancakes and you’re drunk." I don't know about that buts its really good. The 2015 Rare was also tasting great. A ton more barrel presence in that one. The 2018 Reserve fell flat after drinking those two IMO

 

Completely agree! Was at the Scofflaw event and Reserve definitely stole the show.

 

2017 still tasting good though I think I need to open one of my bottles soon.
2018 Reserve is tasty though I think I like last year's Reserve better.
2014 Prop is still spectacular. One of my all time favorites. Glad I still have a couple bottle of these,

Was the 90/10 paragraph from the link? If so, they've removed it apparently.

The phrasing below implies there is no limit on the number of BCBS bottles one can purchase? I'm guessing they mean 'must purchase two" and only two bottles but who knows.

This analogy brings about a 'wtf?'.

 

Why isn't Midnight Orange released at midnight?

 

My plan is still the Woodmans in Carpentersville, seem to always get more than Binnys, but I might just swing by the Jewel off Summit in Elgin on the way home, saw regular sitting around weeks after Black Friday so I'm thinking there is probably a good chance I can probably just walk in there and get all the bottles, the area doesn't seem particularly strong in terms of people seeking out craft beer.

 

I wish Jewel opened later.
