What are your favorite beers to drink out of season? Personally, I can drink Märzen / Oktoberfest or a pumpkin beer anytime of the year.

For some reason I started in on the stouts early this autumn rather than waiting for the winter, as I've tended to do in the past. Good move on my part, as the winter never arrived.

I dont really do the seasonal thing. Hell, I will drink a imperial stout on a nice summer day. I will also drink an ice cold IPA while I am having lunch at a ski resort. I do like seasonal beers but I drink all different kinds of styles all year long.

Some so called winter beers are greet in the summer at night around a fire. Drink what you want when you want.

Ya I agree, a nice porter or stout around a fire hits the spot on a summer evening.

Exactly, sit back in your lawn chair and just fall deeper into the chair as the great beers go down one after the other. As long as you go someone feeding the fire so you don't have to get up

I'm down to drink any beer at any time. I may be more apt to drink a particular style during a certain season, but If I am out in the dead heat of summer and find some ridiculous stout on tap, damn right I am going to drink it.

The only thing that will prevent me from drinking Deschutes Red Chair and Odells Red beyond May is their limited production period. Same with New Belgiums Dig.

It seems to me the higher the temp, the lighter the color of my beer. Honestly when the real hot summer comes theres just something really refreshing about an nice hoppy ipa or a nice saison/farmhouse. Oh don't forget them tripels!

I drink out of season all the time. For me personally, I have a bunch of brews sitting in my fridge - everything from Pale Ales to Quads. To me beer is like food, it all depends on my mood. Nowadays there are just so many brews available and not just quantity - there are tons of excellent brews out there...limiting those to the season would be impossible to me. On the other hand, I'm a sucker for the seasonals - I usually hang on to a few of the higher abv to savor some other time...

I'm trying to do the same. Been wanting to squirrel a few cases of Christmas Ales away so we can do a Christmas in July party on the deck along with a tree and Christmas music. Sounds stupid, but something I've always wanted to do and I think THIS will be the year!

Another one of these threads? I drink heavy beers like stouts and barleywines year round.

Some brewers brew stouts seasonally, and some brew them year round. If I drink a year round imperial stout, do I have to be against seasonal stouts? And if I drink seasonal stouts, do I have to be against year round stouts? What about stouts that are released seasonally, out of season(Stone IRS anyone?)?

In my personal opinion, seasons don't make the beer, the beer makes the beer...drink what you like and what's good. Cheers.

It was +80 degrees today in Florida and I had a Marshel Zhukov in my back yard. Delicious.
