Let’s get this thing going. I did give the thread title a little southern flair, if it’s not cool change it. The weather in these parts is foggy/gloomy, so a beer can’t hurt.

    Howdy y’all then

Drinking Princesse, a Dutch beer rated only twice here including me. It’s an English pale ale and it’s alright...

Gloomy cold rain/sleet this morning. Today is my kid brother’s normal day off, so we are loading up the the RV (he doesn’t drive) to go spend the day/night with our sister and brother & wife in Huntington. Coffee please:

I see we are off to a splendid start today - have a great Tuesday, y’all!

This DIPA from Threes is delicious. Juice, juice, juice. The Vic Secret in this is absolutely perfect. This is as good as anything I’ve had from around here which is saying something. I’ve been cutting down on the am drinking after work lately but I have to stay up until 9:45 so I might as well. Cheers all

Picked this up as part of a mix six for no reason other than it's fresh (canned in October) and I hadn't tried it before . . .

Clear light gold color with white cap and lacing.

Aroma of mild malt and light citrus.

Taste is just a bit puckery at first displaying a tartness that is nicely matched with the lemony citrus and a pinch of salt. Sort of Shandy meets the Surf. I would say lemon is the most prominent flavor with perhaps lime following. It's a nice blend that does come together in a pleasing whole and finishes dry.

    Medium texture with balancing carbonation.

I'm puzzled why this is a Sept-Oct release when it so clearly identifies with Summer activities. It's pleasant none the less and easily drinkable.

Yeah, puzzling... but when I think of polar bear riding Inuit (?), I always think of lemon Gose.

A picture just can't get close to conveying just how incredibly murky and still this rainy day beer is.

    Good morning, BAs!

I had a great long weekend visiting my kids. Some good beer was had, but I generally don't like to share from the phone if I can help it. Maybe I'll catch up with some pics later.

In the meantime, right now I'm trying out a new-to-me beer from Clown Shoes: La Bestia Furiosa, an imperial stout brewed with "chiles and spices" and aged in bourbon and rum barrels.

Yesterday was a great day! A new cookbook arrived and, more importantly, I was gifted with some beers from across the pond. Thanks, Kristine!
The temperature this morning was 20 degrees, so I made a hearty breakfast skillet from the cookbook, and started on the British beers.

I've seen a couple of you recently post some vintage bottles of Bourbon County Barleywine, so figured it was time to dust one off and sabotage any motivation today. Dated 17 SEP 13 and tastes magnificent with notes of sweet caramel, cherries, bourbon, vanilla and oak. A healthy amount of the 12.1% abv. can still be felt. Drink 'em if ya got 'em!
