Don't forget though it comes with two mason jars thus "justifying" the severe increase in price compared to last year's 6-packs.

I do this on a daily basis, screaming at the heavens while shaking my fist. My neighbors think I really hate soap.

I agree that Lagunitas is the best value in craft beer. Really looking forward to the Brett Stout - aged up to 4yrs in wine barrels for only 8 bucks a bomber! I also love their Cappuccino Stout - $4-5/bomber.

The Brewers Association would disagree. Not that you have to agree with them of course.

Recently, I really enjoyed Super Cluster and Born Yesterday. Politics aside, my all due respect to Lagunitas based on the beers I’ve had from them.

Need the soap to clean off all the soot from those poorly made candles. Too bad it gives me dishpan hands.

Why would the Brewers Association disagree that $11-$12/6pk of a BA coffee imperial stout is not one of the best beer values ever?

I agree about BY, but I thought it was still very good. Waldos and Brown are as good as ever, though.

I am sad to hear this year there won't be any BA Impy sixers. :slight_frown:

I tried Super Cluster about two months ago and really enjoyed it, though I'm not sure I can find a sufficiently fresh batch at this point.

They are putting it out in cans now (6packs) and the pack I bought a week or two ago was pretty fresh. I think it is going to be year round.

Because Lagunitas is not considered craft beer by the Brewers Association thus they can't be a good (or bad) deal in craft beer.

I enjoyed CitruSinensis back in Sept. I have tried several Lagunitas beers prior to joining BA.
NightTime is a great Black Ale that I would gladly revisit if I can ever find it again.
Wilco Tango Foxtrot is a fine Brown Ale. Lucky 13 Mondo Large Red Ale was good.
Reasonable prices, relatively high ABVs, decent quality, more than just IPAs, available.

Time to revisit some old friends.

The brand is owned by Heineken, thus not independent.

I think most people agree Magee is garbage. But who cares? Lagunitas has made killer beer for years that is both inexpensive and readily available. At least in Northern California it's the most readily available craft beer, alongside Sierra Nevada. There isn't a restaurant in my town that doesn't at least have their IPA on tap, and I can pick up a 12 pack of it for about 12 bucks. Their 1 hitter series has been solid every time. I haven't liked them all, but that doesn't make them bad beers.Sure, their BA series this year isn't as cheap as it was, but it still isn't at a bad price point. I will concede that the mason jars have hipster douche bag written all over them, but based on Lagunitas history, I'm going to give them a pass on that.

Lagunitas has been putting out quality beers for years at a very good price point and very few times has the owner name been mentioned here.If ownership was that important maybe I should stop buying from the top 5 % in profit in the good old USA.Quality and price matters most to the average consumer.Cheers and enjoy what you are drinking

As far as reasonably priced, hop-heavy beer brands go, I prefer Sierra Nevada, but that's just a matter of personal preference, as I find most Lagunitas beers too sweet and syrupy for my liking. I appreciate Lagunitas, though, and love Waldos' and Hop Stoopid. I'm going to have to try Supercluster again.

Ah, great if so. I'll keep an eye out for them then. Though, right now, Brown Shugga 6 packs for freaking 8.49 is a hard, hard deal to beat.
