Headed back to Spokane next month for a few days, looking for downtown or close-in spots. Won't have a car, probably won't have a bunch of time to make it out very far (though i still wanna check out Manito tap house.) Any recommendations? It's been 3 or so years since i've been there. I'll definitely be hitting the Blackbird again.
Community Pint is the best beer bar in town. Better beer than Manito Tap House and Blackbird. TJ gets stuff no one else in town does. Iron Goat & Whistle Punk for breweries. Both, are walkable from downtown.
Steel Barrel is right in between Whistlepunk and IGB. 3 breweries in one building plus a ceviche bar and tons of guest taps. Not sure what we'll have on next month in that regard but some pretty awesome kegs sitting on deck right now. Steel Barrel and IGB are also open at 11am which is 3-4 hours earlier than most the beer spots downtown.
Also might want to check out Steady Flow Growler House around the corner from Iron Goat (in the old River City taproom), 29 well-curated taps of beer/cider/wine.
