To help find their beer, outside their brewery (they have their own tap room, where you can buy, drink, and fill growlers), use the following link:

    http://cartonbrewing.com/find-our-beer/

    More info from their website

    http://cartonbrewing.com/

Tasting room availability is posted on Facebook on Wednesday and Saturday before the sessions begin.

    https://www.facebook.com/cartonbrewing/

Special releases: When there are new cans we set up a table downstairs for efficiency, but outside of those first couple days they are upstairs in the tap room, which is staffed by really nice people.

How to get to Carton (The BOAT STORY)

    The boat from the city:
On weekdays the Atlantic Highlands stop on Seastreak ferry is 5 blocks straight down 1st Ave (.4 miles 8 minutes walk on Google maps)

On weekends there is a shuttle waiting at the Connors Highlands stop on the ferry that will run you over to the Atlantic Highlands stop (if you are nice to the driver they very well may drop you at Carton as you pass)

OR you can take the ferry to Connors Highlands, walk down Shore Drive to Kranky Cyclesand rent a bike (.3 miles-6minute walk on Google maps) and rent a bike. They have motorized and regular cruisers which can be peddled down the Henry Hudson bike path to Carton (2.9 miles 15 minute peddle according to Google maps) as well as out Sandy Hook for some beach time with stops at any of our local seafood shacks along the way.

Just came on here to lavish praise on a brewery that doesn't get the kind of credit it deserves IMO. Just had 077-07871 last night and ************ that shit is so delicious. Incredibly complex and balanced - fruity, malty, piney, bitter, and just flat out tasty as all hell. Not many breweries doing this kind of IPA anymore, and this one is a real showcase of the potential power and complexity of a well-rounded hoppy pale. Might be my desert island DIPA.

Basic Coffee - which I had the other night while carving pumpkins - is definitely the best pumpkin beer I've ever had, better, I think, than even Schlafly.

This Town is an ode to barley and I just fucking love it. The nose is pure grain husks and malted barley, and the palate is like liquid bread, which I, as an unabashed gluten-head can't get enough of. So well done - honestly better than Weihenstephaner original I can't believe I'm saying that. I might even like it better than While from Suarez :grimacing:

Eden this year was amazing, as was Sakura (one of my all time favorite beers), and Inside our DNA (these guys know the value of good malt flavor in an IPA), etc., etc. These guys just know how to brew flat out great fucking beer.

    BEHOLD

This isn't a phrase I use frequently, but it's quite necessary in this case: this beer is so fucking dope.

I’m assuming and hoping this makes its way south like almost everything else these days. Looking forward to it.

Had to look up why this one was important. Never had Epitome.

@jonphisher yeah, I’d think so. Last year I made the long drive North for it because I love it so god damned much and I didn’t want to miss out. Tempted to do it again; it’s the perfect beer for turkey dinner

One of my favorite black IPAs of all time and I don’t even really like the style all that much. It’s bascially FW Wookey Jack on mescaline (that’s a compliment)

Love Epitome (maybe my favorite Carton beer) but won’t be around that day. Usually lasts for a while these days, no? Maybe even...distributed?

In the past it’s been distributed, and from my experience, easier to get every year.

Huh, I guess you’re right. I think I may have bought it in store last year. Happy to drive 5 minutes instead of 50. So hard to remember anymore with so many breweries and so many beers!

God I love Epitome. It’s one of the few beers I’ll drive all over to get. It’s soooo good. It’s to the point I associate that time of year with Epitome and New Years with Regular Coffee.

Wow! Didn't realize how beloved this beer was. Rarely make it to Jersey, but I'll keep an eye out on Beermenus/Untappd for draft that makes it way into the city.

Yeah Carton distro has gotten too good. It is such a pain in the ssa to get there, and particularly in the winter months there is nothing else to do really around there, as a result of which Intake what I can get in distro and very rarely make it down there for the smaller runs
