Share your plans for Thanksgiving. Where will you go to stock up for the holiday? Which beers will you drink and share with the feast?

I won’t be going anywhere crazy. In fact, this year I plan on drinking mainly store bought beers...

Obligatory Mayflower Thanksgiving Ale, SN Celebration and then dipping into the cellar for a few stouts - also hoping to find some BA Expedition. In all liklyhood I’ll also have a few local NEIPAs from the fridge but I’m not making any big trips for them. I’m trying to avoid the crowds this year

What stouts are you pulling out of the cellar?!?

We have a can release at River Styx Brewing in Fitchburg, MA on Wednesday 11/21 at 5pm. Releasing two NE DIPAs - Galaxy of Astraios and Typhon Father Of All Monsters.

SN Celebration before & after the meal, usually a nice cork & cage bottle like Ommegang Rare Vos or Saison DuPont goes well with the turkey & fixings. Ipswich Oatmeal Stout with dessert.

My family is in an experience-based funk where anyone who drinks is an alcoholic. I will be sober this year. Next year I will be with my wife's Portuguese family and be blackout drunk off a wide variety of things.

    It's about balance people.

Henniker's King Misanthrope was released yesterday. Check it out, 12oz cans this year instead of the old 22oz bombers...

There's a lot of this gets itself drunk here at the pappasilenus household during the holidays.

I will pick up some Mayflower Thanksgiving Ale at some point.

I will probably also pick up some Rodenbach Alexander if it's on the shelves somewhere.

I plan on drinking a double shot for the first time thanksgiving morning. After that will be a mix of Jack’s Abby lagers and Treehouse ipas...with a random stout thrown in.

Maybe it was the fact that you were stashing BCBS large format bottles in the toilet tank to get them at 'the right temperature' that swung the pendulum. Our balance is that I've resigned to bringing pilsners only as the double IPAs tend to lead to drunken commentary that is impossible to erase from memory. Imperial stouts basically revive Archie Bunker.

So, if I can find a bunch of The Standard or splurge on some Rothaus, that will likely do the trick.

My father in law might have a beer or two or a glass of wine, but otherwise I drink alone on holidays. On the surface, it may seem like this would be great because I don’t have to share my fancy beers, but, alas, I typically opt for House Lager on days where I’m allowed to overeat and fall asleep as I watch football in a tryptophan coma.

Each year, my brother, sister-in-law, wife, and I use Thanksgiving as an excuse for a bottle share. We start planning a few months in advance and pull necessary trades to ensure we have some really good stuff we've never tried before. I love Thanksgiving (family, food, football, etc.) but this tradition makes it one of the most anticipated days of the year.

This year we got Miami Madness, GN Blueberry Muffin, Drie Fonteinen Hommage, Jjjuliusss, DDH Double Mosaic Dream, DDH Double Mosaic Daydream, Firestone 21, Coffee Cinnamon B-Bomb, GN Double Stack.

I have one of these “on the way” and completely forgot about it now I’m hoping it arrives before the holiday.

I will be cooking for 14-16 people, once they have food I will drink a few beers.
The few beer drinkers in this group are Bud Lite and Coors fans, they can BYOB.
Tonight I plan to purchase some Brown Ales, maybe some dark lagers.
    Enjoy the feast, cheers.

I’m cooking as well but I tend to drink while I cook.

We will have 2017 CBS, some 3F geuze, Post Shift. I might pull out my last bottle of Madness and Civilization for after dinner.

Some Macallan 12 is a sure bet too

Considering stopping at TH on my way up, so that would be on the menu for me if I do that. Otherwise, it'll be mostly House Lager and Notch, both of which I have missed dearly. I wouldn't be surprised if some stuff I have cellared at my parents' house gets popped here and there, but not going super out of the way to stock up.

I'm in the not drinking camp since my thanksgivings are immediate family only, and my parents only drink wine (which ive never been able to get into) and my sibling is a recovering alcoholic. Afterwards though, i'll probably have some praire stouts i've been saving, maybe have a bottle of coffee cake all by myself.

I’ll be drinking an Anna, and a few IPA’s from my VT trip. After the meal, I’ll be cracking open a Bourbon County Rare that’s been aging for 3 years.

Our Thanksgivings are very beery. One brother lives in MA and is a Trillium fanboy, so there'll definitely be some of that. My other brother lives in Fairfield county so he'll pick up something local down there. There's a brewery in Ridgefield that's near his house that he's been digging on. And I'll get some stuff that they won't be able to. And my sister pretends to like beer but is more a hazy NEIPA shark-jumper. It's all good, I love Thanksgiving. Lots of beer gets drunk.
