It depends on the weather. Cold weather calls for Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout or another Imperial Stout hits the spot. In warmer times most Pilsners or APAs work well.

Avery's Tweak. It makes everything better and if it doesn't, I don't care after I finish one.

Depends on the weather as well, if it's warm outside I used to hit a bomber of Hopsickle as a TGIF kinda beer. Winters a bit different if I could get any beer I wanted it would be BC Coffee, with KBS right behind it. Any of these 3 pull the pressure plug in 15 about minutes.

I suppose any quality beer would meet my zen/tranquility factor depending on circumstances/availability...

With that nimble dance-step stated, some of the (nearly) countless beers that would soothe/comfort me:
    • Any North Coast Brewing beer
    • Any Aecht Schlenkerlar
    • Strohs
    • Epic's 'Utah Sage'
    • Any northern European dark beer (e.g. Haand Bryggeriet, To Öl)
    • Yuengling Lager
    • Celebarator Doppelbock

7% hop bombs usually do it for me, or a few lighter gravity ones. The hops have that soporific effect that helps me recenter.

[IMG]A good porter or stout always makes me slow down and enjoy it.But...when I open a large bottle of kbs or some other top notch beer I know I'm splurging and makes me feel like I'm treating myself well after the day treated me like crap.

Plus that 25 oz bottle makes for some fuller pours, I do love that about those bottles.
