    Still drinking vintage English brewed Russian Imperial Stout this morning...

    This is a 2012 bottle (only 9.3 oz) and it's held up pretty well for sitting on a room temperature shelf for 6 years. I'd like to have another beer, but I have to sleep one more day to work one last night. Looking forward to a couple days off with family. Cheers all!

    Oreo cookie beer time. Double Dunk from Prairie Artisan Ales, ABV 11.90%. This new Imperial Stout might be one of their best. Oreo cookies, dough, dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla. Good dessert beer after dinner. Don't drink too many cookies.

    Clear red gold color with light tan cap.

    Clean aroma that's mostly malty with a hint of something darkish and sweet like cherry cola.

    Nice low key flowing malt rich flavor that offers a hint of roasted malt without any bitterness or roast malt elements like coffee. Just a smooth darkness linked to the malt richness.

    Took me around two hours to finish this guy, I almost feel like I needed a chaser while drinking it. I can see how some people love it if they love bourbon heavy stuff but I prefer a milder barrel and liquor presence. This almost feels like a beer with a shot of bourbon in it. Very well made but absolutely not something I could drink very often. Glad I finally got a chance to try it.
