Would really love to score some variants in the Seattle area. Assumed regular would be pretty easy to come by.

When I saw you were in Redmond, I immediately thought of the town north of Bend. Might wanna change your location to Washington.

Best shot is likely the brewery. But, maybe Malt & Vine? Or, what ever big store near you, that moves a lot of Inbev stuff.

Total Wine Bellevue, Malt & Vine, The Cave have all gotten variants in the past. Total Wine opens first, The Cave has sold prior to Black Friday in the past, and Malt & Vine is a bit of a ghost town these days so I can't imagine anyone caring about BCBS. As far as I know, Malt & Vine and The Cave both still stock ABI products.

Maybe the Redmond Whole Foods has suffered the same decline in their beer dept. as my local store, but I remember that being another good spot for beer of BCBS-variant caliber.

For some reason, I thought I was on the Fremont thread. Ignore the quoted sentence.

The chain stores (Safeway, Fred Meyer,Costco) vary widely in the beer department. The FM in South Everett for example never gets shit but some others are pretty good.

Fred Meyer in Ballard gets BCBS. The Safeway in Roosevelt and the U Village QFC do as well.

Bob's Liquor on Lake City Way normally has a good amount if you're into InBev.

Regular BCS is incredibly easy to get; best to wait until it shows up at Safeway as they often have it for the cheapest in town. Not every safeway will have it, but the ones with decent craft do.

Variants are not so easy to get; quite often only getting a single case of the rarer variants (if we even get them) at any given place, and many will have lines before opening, albeit short. Total Wine in Bellevue might be good for you, the one near downtown across 405 but when to get there is a tossup. Might have luck showing up 20 minutes before opening, might not. If you show up at opening chances are the rarest variant (last year was Northwoods) will be sold out.

There's usually enough coffee (although with it being BW Coffee not sure) for it to be a little easier to get, but also will probably sell out shortly after opening at the places that get it.

Then over the course of the next couple months there might be random events where you can purchase variants here and there.

At this point no clue what variants will even be in Seattle this year; I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't get Vanilla at all for instance.

Central Market in Shoreline often puts their BCBS out as soon as they get it. FYI.

My local bottle shop (WA/ID border) has about a dozen regular BCS turding it up from last year still.

Maybe they should re-label it "Bud Extra Heavy"?

Market Time Foods in Fremont, Seattle has some. They had some regular and some bramble on the shelf. I went back later and the bottles and tags had been pulled from the shelves. I assume they will put it back out on Friday.

I'm with the majority on this thread. I stop buying when they sell out to the big guys though I do make an exception once in a while. I had a BCBS variant I picked up in a trade recently. I used to buy a shit ton of the stuff.

I never really did buy it. We had Abyss around here, which I have always preferred, and then we got KDS and B-bomb. No reason to get that Chicago stuff. I am a homer at heart.

I used to buy it, since it was a lot easier to find in SoCal than Abyss back in the day (mid- to late-00s). I also dug the fact that it was available in 12-ounce bottles.

Never been a big fan of the variants. The big draw there always seemed to be rarity, which my palate has around time picking out.
