For liquor sales it does. By law they have to permit you to enter for alcohol purchases, with or without a Costco membership.

Sorry for the shitty quality. I’m not very good at uploading pics here. But they have it listed as Knob Creek.

Costco will open at 9am i believe. There shouldn’t be a line before the cart “pre- entrance” but they will open the “pre-entrance” area 15-20 minutes before 9 and a line will form. Could be 30-45 minutes now if things BCBS continue to devolve. The Costco employee will have a collection of laminated note cards and ask what variant you’ll want. Then you turn that card in for the variant as well as opportunity for 3 BCBS (I think) to buy at the register

In the interests of Beer Advocacy, I will point out that, in past years, the 6PM tapping time at Sheffield's has been more of a suggestion than a hard and fast rule.

That tradition continues. I am currently at a relatively empty Sheffield's enjoying a coffee barleywine.

Okay so we just got all the rest on draft here in Cleveland ('cept Reserve and Prop of course) at noon earlier today.

@Jplachy you are stupidly spot on with your description of the Wheatwine (grilled pineapple with caramel on top or whatever)...but being honest, that's not at all what I want in a beer. That said, I don't think I've come across a Wheatwine I've thoroughly enjoyed. While this was better than most, I'll still be passing on any bottles.

For all the people saying this year's Vanilla is not as good as OG, I'm curious if you had it from draft or bottles. I just had it from draft for the first time (I originally had 2018 vanilla from 2 bottles). It tasted noticeably different from draft than from bottle, and actually notably worse. I'd still take it over most other draft vanilla bourbon barrel stouts, but it was closer to the marshmallow you get out of a hot cocoa packet than actual vanilla bean.

Just from my experience, I think anyone that had draft of Vanilla BCBS and hasn't had bottle will be much happier with the bottled version if/when they open one.

    Sheffield’s report:

Vanilla - very strong vanilla — too much
    Wheat whine - tasty stuff
    Coffee barleywine - surprisingly great
    Prop - chocolate chewy brownie
Midnight orange - woof. Yuck yuck yuck
Bramble - what are you doin goose?!?!?
Regular - tad hot but still like it.

Costco in orland park denied me in 2016, said I could buy any liquor other than BCBS since I wasn't a member

You can ask for the manager, but they are in violation of Illinois law by denying you purchase of alcohol, they cannot pick and choose which types you can and cannot buy.

Also, another enticement that is open to the general public is free beer glasses offered by retailers with a purchase. When a retailer offers a free glass with an alcohol purchase, they are required to give anyone in the general public a glass with no purchase required if they ask.

These two factors are applicable in Illinois, and may or not be applicable in other jurisdictions.

I'm not sure if my Costco just sucks or what but I haven't seen BCBS variants at the Naperville Costco ever, maybe it's more of a city thing?

An actual manager denied me. And yes, I was aware of the law but was unable to find it online and cite it right there and then.
