The fact it looks like 8 people and 20 chairs at this point is the only thing I find angering about all this. A chair should only be empty for the time it takes someone to go take a piss, not leave a chair there, go back for thanksgiving and come back 5 hrs later. Fuck that.

I would move those out of the way if I showed up. Or like someone at Tired Hands once did after seeing a bunch of assholes put lawn chairs down, just post on Craigslist ‘free lawn chairs’... problem solved. Or just throw them into the dumpster near bye.

Good point. I stopped by Binnys DP for some other Thanksgiving beer. First in line, but gave up my spot to watch the Bears and enjoy some turkey.

I asked for Elwood and said I brought whales. They asked if I was a pitcher or a catcher, and I said I was pretty good at both. I’m now in a basement. The door is locked. I’m whistling sweet home chicago, and am excited to meet you.

It's fine if you're only drinking a small sample.

Over the long haul, the "grilled pineapple" note actually becomes grating, especially due to the sticky heft as well as the strength of the beer. There are some nice toffee, Werthers, graham and rum cake notes, but a pungent, orange candy sort of note becomes medicinal at times, especially due to the potency of the booze and lighter flavor of the malt, as opposed to barleywine.

Really, Wheatwines are weird, would rather have their bigger bros, but if I'm going to drink one, it's White Chocolate all the way.

 

I look forward to checking this thread out at about 1am to decide if I drive in to the city or not.

My god, so much better than this Wheatwine, and I normally hate Bruery beers.
