Apparently Elevated is 30 deep. Maybe a Total Wine would still be possible.

At least 40 deep at TW Bloomington, with a dozen empty chairs in front.

 

That's allowed? Did people just leave a chair last night and go home until open? That seems wrong.

 

I'd say there's about 50 people at Total Wine in Maple Grove.

 

Just arrived here... wow double the line I saw last year at ~7:45

 

Went to my local because I was up until 2 last night working on Thanksgiving prep for today (doing it a day late this year) and couldn’t deal with a long wait this morning. I’m the only one here, just did the awkward wave to the owner as he walked up.

 

Seems like bramble and coffee barleywine were the most limited this year. First to run out at TW Bloomington and SLL only had 6 bottles of each (although that’s unlikely considering AB isn’t going to distribute half cases)

 

Shout out to the dude with his dad who shows up to all of the local releases. You are generally just an asshole. Thank you for that reminder.

Edit: It might not be his father. Just an old white dude. You were 4th and 5th in line at Elevated.

 

There’s always one in the crowd. Curious to hear the details. I’m imagining a line cutter with a mule. Max profitz bro

 

But did they buy all the crowlers for their crew?

 

I worked today and will be going tomorrow. Will I have to do overnight to get a vanilla rye or would 6 am work?

 

Was probably 50th in line at Total Wine Maple Grove and had my choice of everything but Bramble after linking up 15 minutes before opening (7:45am).

Bought two regular and a Vanilla and got it line again for two more regular.

After the line ended there was 20+ cases of regular left. Guessing it will still be there all week.

Went to Republic and tried Bramble, Orange, Vanilla, and 2017 Northwoods on tap. Glad I passed on all variants other than Vanilla. Bramble tastes like straight grape cough medicine (along with Northwoods).

Ended up with 12 regular and 2 Vanilla and happy.

Still curious about the Coffee barleywine though.

 

Damn! 20 cases left! Might have to run back there for some more in a couple of hours.

 

6 AM might be aggressive, I think I’ll do 8:30
