Amazing. Flavors of big grapefruit, tangerine, peach, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, berry, citrus peel/rind, pepper, and pine hops; with balanced caramel, toffee, brown sugar, bourbon, charred oak, and brown bread sweetness; with lighter notes of coconut, vanilla, and herbal/floral/grassy hop earthiness. Moderate pine, citrus rind, herbal, grassy, peppery bitterness; and light-moderate bourbon/oak tannin spiciness on the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; balanced creamy/bready malts, sticky/resinous/rindy hops, and bourbon/oak tannins in the mouthfeel. Moderate increasing bitter/resin/tannic dryness. Lightly increasing warmth of 12.2%, mild barrel booziness lingering after the finish. Chinook, Mosaic and Simcoe hop complexity from reDANKulous; awesome malt balance and barrel integration. Not overly sweet for the ABV. Liked it a lot more than the base beer. Feels more dank than I remember, even with the barrel aging. Definitely a lot more mellowed and balanced out after 7 months.

Fantastic imperial stout. Dense oil pour; great head retention/lacing for the ABV. Aromas and flavors of huge dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, caramel, molasses, toffee, brown sugar, pineapple, coconut, toasted biscuit, nuts, and dark/brown bread; with light notes of licorice, raisin, prune, fig, date, smoke, char, leather, and tobacco. Very slight booze in the aromas as it warms. Very mild herbal, roast, char bitterness; and fruit tartness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation and very full body; Very creamy, silky, velvety, and rich mouthfeel that is amazing. Slight slickness, sticky hops, chalky roast, and fruit tang. Slightly increasing lingering bitter dryness; no cloying/astringency. Dangerously smooth, minimal warming 12.8%. Amazingly rich dessert stout malt complexity; with nice coconut/pineapple presence, without being overdone. Not overly sweet/heavy from lingering dryness. Still feels like a typical imperial stout from both breweries.

What a banger it is. Onslaught of Citra & Mosaic with that Conan yeast taking a back seat.

Amazing as usual this year. Flavors of huge grapefruit, tangerine, lemon, peach, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berries, citrus peel/rind, green pepper, and pine hops; with moderate cracker, biscuit, light honeyed malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness on the finish. Medium carbonation/body; balanced bready/grainy malt and sticky/resinous hops in the mouthfeel. Crisp/drying finish and never astringent on bitterness. Amazing juicy, vibrant, and dank hop profile; refreshingly drinkable for an IPA even at 7.7%. Mosaic and Equinox hops are my favorite of all time. They have been changing around the hops every year; but as long as those two stay, I don't care much. Bought 2 packs immediately this year. Might get more.

Mind blowing old ale as usual, last 2013 bottle I had. Aromas and flavors of huge caramel, brown sugar, molasses, toffee, raisin, prune, fig, cherry, date, vanilla, brown sugar, toasted brown bread, nutty, tobacco, leather, light chocolate, herbal/woody hop, and yeast earthiness. Minimal herbal/spicy hop bitterness on the finish. Light carbonation and very full body. Perfectly creamy, silky, velvety, slick mouthfeel; slightly sticky hops and syrupy. Minimal dryness, no cloying sweetness. Dangerously smooth sipping, minimal warming 13.5%. This is one of the best old ales I’ve ever had. The bourbon barrel version is even better, and in my top 10 beers of all time. Definitely at it's peak for age, and not much noticeable oxidation! They finally got some production brewery bottles out to distro this year, hopefully this makes a run next year. I need more. English barleywines are my favorite style, so old ales are in the same tier for style similarity.
