Hops taste weird tonight after the last few days of stout season

 

LOL. The last few days I've been home I've looked in my fridge and just laughed at them. And they're good ones too. I think they're getting mad at me and destabilizing by the day.

 

It’s funny isn’t it? I feel guilty about the $20 4 pack then drop $290 on Bourbon County. I took it “easy” tonight with a crowler of a DIPA haha.

 

How long until BCBS is no longer brewed solely in Chicago?

Add me to the list of growing feedback regarding vanilla draft vs bottle. Bottle is far more balanced than draft. Really nice beer

 

Totally. The one saving grace for justifying the stout prices is telling yourself the resale value as you drink it..."I can't believe I paid $25 for 16.9oz of BA stout, but it's worth 3 times that so I guess it's a steal.''

Went to the Fulton taproom yesterday, and triple barrel BCS is unreal, really incredible. They still had Reserve on tap which was also incredible. I surprised myself as I fall in the cap of thinking Midnight Orange is great, and I didn't expect to like it because I'm normally not a fan of that kinda boozy chocolate covered candy type deal, but I thought this was excellent. I thought Bramble was horrific, and I'm kind of bummed I have a bottle of Bramble now and not a bottle of Midnight Orange. Deth by Currants completely murders Bramble in my opinion. Didn't get a chance to try vanilla or have 2018 regular, but I have bottles of those and I'm looking forward to drinking them.

 

I had Vanilla from bottle last night and I think it may have been a bit more balanced, but I don’t think it was a huge difference. It’s still a ton of vanilla.

I’m a bit perplexed by some of the hate for Bramble. It’s not the thickest mouthfeel, but I think it delivers for what it’s suoposed to be. And I’m not generally a fruit stout guy.
