    My first post since the superstorm sandy bitch-assed power outage followed by stupid nor-easter athena coupled with un-explained gas shortage long ass lines. Drinking some celebration and harvest ale brought to me by Founders. Hoping my bottled pumpkin ale starts tasting more like a pumpkin ale instead of a spicy brown ale.

    Founders Harvest always delivers but I would argue that this year's batch is the best I have ever had. It is on par with the best IPAs. A truly awesome, well-rounded hop profile. It also tastes and smells a bit like really good, potent weed (in a nice way, coming from someone who has smoked like 5 times). Cheers!

    Oddly enough this is consecutive Fridays I have warmed up with a Smuttynose big beer. Tonight is the Barleywine Style Ale, a 2011 bottle. Bought it last week not realizing it was almost two years aged. Very good, the hops and heat have really died down. What's left is an incredibly smooth and dry English Barleywine. Cheers!

    came home and popped a SN Northern Hemisphere. Not quite as dank as Founders but still a good wet hopped ale.
