Its also so strange that as has been explained to me its more than a witbier, but not X % more . ESB is apparently even a less meaningful term as I gather there is no metric more bitter than a "regular" bitter.

"Double" will not mean twice as strong but simply stronger. The BJCP has their witbier ABV range from 4.5 – 5.5%. Some brewers might put "double" on their product if they feel like the ABV falls too far out of that range (like the Southampton beer at 6.6%).

Regarding bitter, don't think in terms of bitterness, but rather, beer strength. Think of it roughly like this:

    ordinary bitter: 3% ABV
    best bitter: 4% ABV
    strong bitter: 5% ABV

I say "roughly" because every source will have their own unique cutoffs that are specific to a tenth of a percent which should be taken with a grain of salt. Brewers in America essentially do not bother with ordinary, best, and strong designations. The ABV range of witbier above should be taken loosely too.

Giver - when one of your beer nerds comes over to your house to sample some beers, you give him a few "giver" beers to take home for later. Usually provided when the visiting party provides more or higher quality beers that you sample together. Shows that you aren't a mooch and try to balance things out for fairness.

Leaver - same as a "giver" beers but flipped (when you visit someone else and they provide more/better beers in the sampling than you did.

Generally givers and leavers are more random quantity daily drinker type beers and not whalez or something big in ABV or scarcity that you'd want to sample together.

March of the Neckbeards - watching them line up for a Saturday morning brewery release or at a festival when a new beer is being announced and tapped of interest. They come running and line up fast. Like Pokemon...gotta catch 'em all! A take on the documentary "March of the Penguins"

Shouldn't that be a Polish beer?

I have a sense of general meaning but I’d like to hear from the group how we define:

No, you can use that term if you are of Polish extraction. And we all have some "Polish" in us.

People who hoard, truck-chase, use mules, line-sit, and generally act like the rules of common decency and fairness don't apply to them. Bonus points for bragging about said activities on social media.

I’ve yet to find a term to fit what I (and probably some others) do instead of beerqueathing. Which would be an instance of buying an unexpectedly dissatisfactory beer, mainly a pint at a bar/brewery, and instead of pawning it off, one will simply just choke it down in massive gulps as quickly as possible to not have to bear the taste. And also not have your money go entirely to waste.
